After the Easter pictures were taken, Katie got to walk the alpaca through the obstacle course. It was a dream come true!
After waiting patiently, Katie got to meet some special guests before her Easter party. If you aren't already aware, Katie loves llamas and alpacas. We found an animal (llama and alpaca) therapy farm that does a variety of things for business on their off season. When we found out that you could get Easter pictures with an alpaca, Katie knew she wanted to go.
Katie was so excited this weekend! She was getting some Easter pictures in a very special setting with a very special guest, and she couldn't wait!

While we had our heavy duty fans drying out our house, we also had a LOT of noise. We really couldn't even have a conversation when we were in the same room. Since we had to find something to do that didn't involve a lot of talking, Katie got out the playing cards.

A few weeks ago, we discovered that our dishwasher was leaking and water had leaked under our floors and through the ceiling in the basement. We hated the thought of all of the time in front of us as we fixed the house, but we are getting through it one step at a time. Last week, the water damage people came to dry out our house and to rip out any wet material. To dry it out, we have lots of heavy duty and loud fans running all day long. The cats were a little scared when they first saw what had happened to their house, but with some extra attention, they are now pretty comfortable even with the noise.
After my student drew Katie a picture, Katie drew her a picture in return.
All of the kids in my classroom feel like they know Katie, which always makes her happy. She was even happier when one of them drew a picture for her.
Our only St. Patrick's Day celebration was taking some pictures on Snapchat!
Katie just finished a literature study in school, and now her group has to present to her class. She's pretty excited about the presentation, and she is practicing a lot to make it just right.

While Katie was practicing shooting hoops, my sister made her laugh a lot. Every time Katie was about to let go of the ball, Jennifer would say, "Boing!" It was so simple but made Katie laugh so hard.
Katie has been excited about basketball because she has been playing it in PE. She asked if we could go to the school this weekend to play a little.

One of Katie's all-time favorite foods is sumo mandarins. They are only in season for a short time each year, so during that time, she consumes a lot of them!

After our first amaryllis bulb didn't grow, my sister sent us another bulb that didn't require water. Katie has been excited to see it change!
