Hanging Out With a Pirate

When Jennifer and Katie found a pirate from the ride Pirates of the Caribbean, they decided to get a picture.

Pondering

When you're waiting on lunch, sometimes you just need to take time for some quiet pondering.

On the Carousel

It was finally time to get on the carousel!

I chose a favorite horse!

King Arthur's Sword

While Katie was by the carousel, she tried to lift King Arthur's sword out of the stone.

I tried to get the sword, but it wasn't budging!

The Magic

While Jennifer and Katie waited to go on the carousel, they got to see Peter Pan and Wendy enjoy the ride! Just part of the magical experience!

Where Did We Go?

Where did we go for Thanksgiving? Disneyland!

I love shopping when we go to Disneyland. I found this wreath that would be perfect for Aunt Jennifer's house!

A Thanksgiving Getaway

After school ended on Thanksgiving week, Katie, my sister, my mom, and I got on a plane for a getaway.

We haven't travelled that much lately, so it always feels fun when we do!

The Morning Walk

In the morning, Katie still allows me to walk with her most of the way to the bus. Understandably she doesn't want me walking her all the way to the bus stop, but we have fun talking until our break-a-part spot.

The first decorations that Katie wanted to put on the tree were the plush Disney characters.

A Treat

After looking for books, Katie and her friend went to the cafeteria for a small treat before going home.

An Outing

Katie made plans with one of her friends to go to the bookstore together. They were so excited!

Waiting for Aunt Jennifer

On the day my sister was returning, we went to her house to spend some time with the dogs.

The dogs couldn't wait for Aunt Jennifer to get home. I liked making them feel less lonely!

When Sadie was staying with us, she got to walk Katie to her bus stop in the morning.

When Sadie was staying with us, she somehow brought a slug in from outside. Katie was not so thrilled.

At least we could say it was a little slug!

Katie had a homework assignment recently that she worked so hard on.

It took a long time to draw, outline, and color my project.

A Special Guest

While my sister was out of town, one of the dogs stayed with us.

I had fun with Sadie while she was with us. She was easy to have!

As soon as Katie got home, she examined all of her candy!

This year, I got 156 pieces of candy!

Trick-of-Treating

Katie was so happy for Halloween this year because she made plans to go trick-or-treating with her new neighborhood friend. They had everything planned out completely. Then her friend got sick, which was really disappointing to her. However, I was there for Katie's back-up, and we had fun together.

My mom and I got pretty wet. I had an umbrella, but it was pouring!

The Halloween Bucket

Katie was getting ready to go out trick-or-treating and went to find her Halloween bucket. When she brought it out of her closet, she saw a pretty full bucket with last year's candy still in it. Just goes to show about how much she cares about candy.

I thought this was so funny. I must have eaten all of the good candy!

Halloween Morning

On Halloween, Katie was able to wear her costume to school. It's so dark when she heads to school, that we were able to get a creepy Halloween picture.

We thought it was funny that the picture made me look like I didn't have a face!

Rediscovering the House

This summer when all the floors were ripped up, we moved the cats' gingerbread house to the basement. When we brought it back upstairs, both cats would not go near the house that they used to love. Katie and I decided to wash the house and put it near the fire, and finally one cat got brave enough to go in it.

General Washington made it to the house first!
