The Harvest

We have now tried planting carrots for two years in a row. The first year, we came away with about four teeny tiny carrots. This year, we had one carrot. It was longer than the others, but it didn't look too appetizing. 

I decided to take my one carrot to Aunt Jennifer!

By the second day of Jennifer's and Katie's trip, the dogs had settled down a bit and were back to their normal sleeping routine.

Our feet were pretty sore the second day, so it was hard to stand in line.

Day Two

Jennifer and Katie only planned one full day in California, but the next day they weren't traveling until later, so they spent the morning and afternoon in Disney California Adventure.

The first ride we went on was Guardians of the Galaxy. You might not be able to find me because I spend most the ride hiding.

A Full Day

Jennifer and Katie got to the park for its opening, and made it almost to the closing.

It was a full day!

Splash Mountain

Splash Mountain is being re-themed soon, so Jennifer and Katie had to go on it while they were there.

Some Ears

Katie has been looking for Disney ears that she likes and feel comfortable since she was four. She finally found the perfect pair on this trip.

I've always loved Winnie the Pooh. It's just right that I have his ears!

The Dogs

I was keeping the dogs company while Jennifer and Katie were in Disneyland, but they still felt a bit lonely.

Sadie was missing her time with Jennifer.

Going to the Parade

Disneyland is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, so Katie and Jennifer watched the parade that was part of the celebration.

Gotcha Day - Twelfth Anniversary

We've got to take a day break from Disneyland to celebrate Katie's Gotcha Day Anniversary. Twelve years ago today I finally came face to face with Katie, and I'm so glad that we were matched by the Chinese officials to be a family!

Autopia

Jennifer and Katie went on some of the rides that we don't usually go on very often. One of those rides was Autopia where you get to drive a car through a curvy path.

This wasn't my very favorite ride because the fumes from the cars were stinky!

Usually if Katie has seen her friendly cat as we begin our walk, he isn't still around when we come home. However, when Katie heard the bushes rustling, she knew who it was!

Another Encounter

It was time for another walk, and Katie had another encounter with the neighborhood cat.

This cat makes me so happy!

Kings of the Mountain

Both the cats love to be on the top layer of the cat tower, but every once in awhile, Katie finds them sharing the space.

The Second Order

Katie also ordered herself some pins based on her current favorite anime/manga series. She's been really good to hold onto Amazon gift card money and save it for things she really wants.
