Ready for the Day

We decided to go to the zoo, and Katie was quick to get ready to go.

We had such a nice morning to go to the zoo!

A Day Out

With my sister's birthday coming up, Katie asked if she could get her tickets to a musical. It wasn't quite her birthday yet, but they had fun celebrating on the day that I could find tickets.

We loved the musical!

Animation

The next night, Katie taught me about her passion for animation. She had to find examples to show me while she explained it.

There are different types of animation that I like and different apps to help with those.

Nighttime Reading

Katie always comes into my room at night just to talk before she goes to bed. The other night that time hit right as she was finishing a book. She still came in my room but chose to read instead of talking.

It's hard to stop a book when you're so close to the end.

A Postcard

Katie was so happy to get a postcard in the mail!

Neighbors

Both cats wanted to sit right next to Katie the other day.

As long as the cats have a blanket, they're happy!

Art

Sometimes when I'm in Katie's room, I just admire the art on her whiteboard.

Exploring

Katie was ready to spend some time with General Washington. He, however, wanted to do some exploring.

He likes to rub his face on my water bottle, but I don't love when he does that.

Her Friends

Katie always likes it when she captures her cats being best friends.

The Best Blanket

Mr. Limpet loves to be by Katie, but he's always most happy when he gets to share her blanket. He loves it!

I usually keep the blanket to myself, but...

...it is nice to share to make Mr. Limpet happy!

Morning Attention

When the cats pace by Katie in the morning, she knows they are waiting for her attention.

The Blackberries

Katie is starting to get excited at the thought of picking blackberries. Their changes are making her happy.

I love wild blackberries!

An Early Birthday Gift

My sister, Jennifer, watches a reality show, and one of the people on it drives her crazy. Katie decided to give her an early birthday present - a mug with that character on it.

When I got the mug, I couldn't wait until Aunt Jennifer's birthday to give it to her!

Our First Tomatoes

It's always exciting to see the first tomatoes of the season.

Once you get the first batch, they start coming quickly!

4th of July - Cat Style

While we had Snapchat open, we took some pictures of the cats. One cat was much more into it than the other.

A Change

When we were watering our zucchini plants, we noticed the first flower appear. 

It's always exciting to see a new change!

A New Book

When Katie was at the book store, she found a book that had writing prompts in it. She was so excited to get it.

Every page has a different prompt. It's so fun!

Our Garden

While we were on vacation, our tomato and zucchini plants took off.

The Cats

The cats were so happy when we got home. We had lots of visits from them!

The cats were very well-behaved while we were gone.

We missed them too!

Guardians of the Galaxy

Jennifer convinced Katie to go on the Guardians of the Galaxy ride with her again, and Katie just wasn't into it.

I'm not a fan of the constant drops on this ride.

Helping Minnie Mouse

When we were waiting for the parade to start, Minnie Mouse walked by and got distracted by Katie's fan.

Minnie was getting warm, so I helped cool her down by fanning her!

Meeting Ariel

The one character Katie really wanted to meet was the new Ariel. 

I thought Ariel was so pretty!

The Completed Legos

Katie finished her sunflower Legos pretty quickly.

My flowers looked happy!

Cars Land

We always like to visit Cars Land when we're in the park. One of our favorite rides is Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.

Meeting Shang Chi

The second day we headed to Disney California Adventure and ended up in Marvel Campus. Katie happened to meet Shang Chi. They had a conversation about the jade necklace Katie wears since he wears jade as well.

I really liked talking to him!

The Teacups

It's not a trip to Disneyland without a spin in the teacups!

Aunt Jennifer and I are the only ones who can go on this spinning ride without getting dizzy.

Just Taking Pictures

Jennifer asked Katie to take her picture in front of the castle, and when Katie agreed, Jennifer started making all sorts of poses that she normally doesn't do. We thought Katie might get embarrassed, but she enjoyed the joke with us.

Aunt Jennifer is always up for doing something funny!

The Mandalorian

Jennifer watches The Mandalorian, and she has always wanted to meet the character. While we were resting at Galaxy's Edge, the Mandalorian came walking by, and Jennifer quickly acknowledged him so he came over to talk to her.

Aunt Jennifer was pretty excited about her interaction!

A Surprise

We were walking along a pretty quiet walkway when we ran into the Genie. What a lucky day!

I was so glad I didn't have to wait in a long line to meet the Genie!
