I think these stickers make beautiful face ornaments!
Red Thread...
There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.
This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Jewels
Katie had some stickers that looked like jewels, and she decided that they would look best on her face.

Waiting to Shop
I had Katie out shopping with me over the weekend. I had run to the car with something, while Katie walked ahead with my mom and Jennifer. She beat me to the store and found the perfect place to wait.
Who doesn't love Target? They create the perfect waiting spot!

A Hair Salon
Katie often plays "hair salon" with her dolls. When she plays, all of her memories of her true life hair salon experiences with my mom and Garyldine come back. She's a pretty good hair dresser who specializes in putting on bridal veils.
If you hold really still, I'll get this veil on you correctly.
It's beautiful!

A Twirl
While Katie was getting ready for Halloween, she was doing plenty of running and twirling because she likes when her cape flies behind her. During one of her twirls, Jennifer decided to try out her slow motion camera. It's kind of fun to watch!

Happy Halloween, 2014!
My mom, Garyldine, and Aunt Jody took Katie out trick-or-treating on Halloween night. Katie got to visit a few of our neighbors and a few of Garyldine's friends. When she got home, she was very excited to show me all of the candy she got. The funny thing was that she wasn't interested in eating any of it. Instead, she sorted her candy into a "good" pile and a "yucky" pile. She has since had a couple of pieces of candy, but it seems as though it's a lot more fun to play with the candy than eat it!
I got to visit some of our neighbors. I love their big dogs, but they weren't around on Halloween.
I was excited to go to my friend, Ella's, house!
Then we went to a few other houses. It was fun!
Out of all of my treats, my favorite was my bag of Goldfish crackers!
Garyldine made the perfect Anna to match my Elsa costume!

Getting Ready for the Big Night
Katie was so excited to get dressed up and go trick-or-treating this year. It didn't matter to her that it started pouring rain right as she was getting ready to go. It was just about the fun.
I'm dressed and ready to go! Can we go yet?
While I waited to go, I decided to accessorize. First I got this great skull ring.
Then I got two mittens. They were the closest thing I could find to Elsa's gloves. Was it time to go yet?
Bingle was ready too! Trick-or-treat!

Halloween Eve
Katie's school had a celebration the night before Halloween. Students were invited to wear their costumes and go trick-or-treating from classroom to classroom. Katie was a little confused when she first went since the school was so dark, and she's never seen it like that, but it didn't take her long to get past the change.
Instead of candy, the trick-or-treaters received small toys, pencils, etc., and they had cheese and mandarin oranges available for refreshments. Katie put her orange in her treat bucket and ate the cheese. It was perfect!
Trick-or-treat!
I got to stop for a picture!
Then my mom got one with me too! It was a fun night!
