Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Oops!

The other day I came home from work. Katie came running to the baby gate to meet me. While she waited for me to hang up my jacket, she decided to put her foot through the gate. She didn't realize she wouldn't be able to pull her foot back through to her side! She was a little worried, but it was an easy fix when we took off her shoe. She hasn't done that again since!

I can't get my foot back through!

Can someone help me?

Chloe, the Empty Canvas

Katie loves to be with Chloe. In recent days, she has decided to create beautiful designs on Chloe by covering her with toys, books, or herself. Chloe is such a good dog. She just sits patiently by, waiting for Katie to finish.

Yummy Goldfish Crackers

Katie had a snack of Goldfish Crackers. Chloe was close by to try to get her share too!

Guess what I have, Chloe?

Please share with me!

I'll just carry my crackers over here to keep them safe.

Was someone else still hoping for a cracker?

Garyldine hides crackers in my pockets. I wonder if I should hide some there?

Okay, I guess I'll share.

I dare you to come get it!

Let's have some water after our crackers.

I love you, Chloe! Thanks for our meal together!

A Better Way

Katie has figured out a better way to get into someone's arms. It has become too boring to have someone just lift her up to them. It fits Katie's adventurous style much better to climb up into someone's arms.

Ringing in the day with my jingle bell!  I'm still feeling hungry. Maybe I should go get the box of Cheerios.

Oops! I didn't spill the whole box, did I?

This is going to take awhile. I better lie down.

Getting Ready for Easter

Katie was lucky this year to get some early Easter gifts from her Grammy Noreen and Grandpa Joe.  She loved opening the package and her card and was thrilled get some more books!

Looking at My New Books

The day before Easter, Garyldine came over to dye the Easter eggs with us. Katie enjoyed putting the eggs in the dye. Unluckily for us, she liked to drop the eggs in the dye with a big splash!

First Trip to the Beach

My mom, dad, sister, and I took Katie to the beach for her first time. We were so happy that it wasn't raining, but it was chilly and windy. Katie loved the beach. She had fun quacking at the seagulls, barking at the dogs, and looking at the waves. She wasn't very interested in touching the sand or the shells, but her hands were as cold as ice! I'm wondering if she'll be more interested in the sand on a warmer day.
