A Visit with the Princesses

After Katie had her makeover, we made our way over to meet some of the princesses. It was a magical experience!

The first princess I met was Snow White! 

Then I met Cinderella! 

We're old friends! 

I left Cinderella with a hug, and... 

…greeted Belle with a hug! 

We had a good talk about being twins. 

Then we posed for a picture! 

When I went outside, I found Rapunzel! 

I always love her!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

For this trip, we didn't plan on going to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, but Katie was very excited about that part of Disneyland, so we made reservations, and Katie started contemplating which princess she would like to be. In the end, she chose to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

Katie's hairdresser was so good at what she did and made Katie feel comfortable right away. Katie loved every moment.

After hair and make-up was done, Katie got her pictures taken. We went outside to wait for the pictures to be developed, and because it was the start of a cold and very rainy day, Katie also got a princess wrap!

I always like to get my hair done. 

My "Fairy Godmother in Training" picked out a tiara for me! 

Once my hair was done, I got my nails painted. 

I made sure not to touch anything while my nails dried. 

I had make-up put on next. 

Finally it was time for hairspray and pixie dust! 

I loved it! 

While I waited for pictures, I admired my changes in the mirror! 

I was happy to see my animal friends again! 

I got to feed Thumper! 

Then I made my way to Cinderella's carriage! 

I was ready to get in! 

I could be happy riding everywhere in a carriage! 

One final picture, and then... 

we waited outside to have the pictures developed. 

With the cold weather, I was very happy to have a wrap!

Our First Morning in Disneyland

After getting in really late on a Tuesday night, we were up and about early on Wednesday morning to get started with our fun. We decided to have a quick meal at our hotel, and Katie got her favorite Mickey Mouse waffles. Then it was time to leave for the park.

 For some reason, the Mickey Mouse waffles taste better than regular waffles!

Disneyland still had their Christmas decorations up, so we stopped for a picture!

 Aunt Jennifer and I wanted a picture of the castle decorated for Disneyland's 60th anniversary!

Anticipating a Trip

It didn't take us long to become Disney Park fans! After a year away and a really good price on airline tickets, we decided it was time to go back to Disneyland.

For Katie, it felt like the trip would never arrive. She was so excited when I finally told her she could pack. As always, she filled her suitcase with treasures!

I knew I had to pack my glass slippers, my regular slippers, doll clothes,... 

…dolls, unicorns, and a picture of myself with Mary Poppins! 

I was so excited when I finally got on the plane!

A Second Snow Day

Katie was thrilled one morning when she looked out the window and saw that we had had snow overnight. She wanted to get in it as fast as she could, so when I took the dogs outside, she quickly followed. The whole day was nothing but fun for her!

I couldn't believe that it had snowed enough to make footprints in it! 

I practiced making snowballs. 

The dogs liked it too! 

When I got in, I melted snow in front of the fire, or as I liked to say, I burned the snow. 

I finally got to make a snow angel on our deck!

Can I go out again?

Before it got dark, we took the dogs on a walk to play in the snow!

Trouble

My sister, Debby, sent Katie the game of Trouble at Christmas. Katie was very excited that it had a Frozen theme and couldn't wait to learn how to play. It has quickly become one of her favorite games!

Playing with Cousins

Some of Katie's cousins were visiting Garyldine, so she invited Katie over to play. Just like always, Katie ended up having a good time!

While Tristan played with Play-Doh, Charlotte and I drew pictures. 

I also made time to play with Aunt Jody and the snake I got her for Christmas! 

Before we left, we made sure to take some pictures together.
