Christmas Morning - Part Two

After my mom and sister got to the house, Katie and I headed downstairs to open the presents!

I was so happy when I got downstairs and found my Santa Claus presents. I was really excited to find the books from The Descendants that I had been wanting.

I also got a new stationary set! 

I couldn't wait to open my new LOL set. 

One of the toys I got was this mystery Barbie. She was covered in a pink paint, and I had to dip her in warm water to see which one I got. 

I was excited as the pink came off.

When I pulled her out, I was excited to see the llama on the swimsuit. Then I got to open all of the accessories that went with her. 

Aunt Jennifer got me some apples. They weren't just any apples. They were the brand new kind of apples that just came out called Cosmic Crisps. They were delicious! 

I was so happy to start opening Aunt Debby's gifts and seeing dolls from  The Descendants. 

She got me lots of dolls, and I was very thankful! 

My friends, Ella and Lucas, gave me presents too. I got a Cheeky Puff, and...

...a toy organizer. 

 Uncle Jeff, Aunt Grace, Ian, and Eva got me a Lego set!

Aunt Jennifer gave me another Lego set! 

I also got a Speak & Spell just like my mom had when she was my age. 

Garyldine, Jim, and Aunt Jody gave me a jewelry set! 

Finally, Aunt Jennifer gave me a joke present. She had this shirt made for me because she's always teasing me about saying this to her!

Thank you, everyone, for making my Christmas special! 

Christmas Morning - Part One

When Katie woke up on Christmas morning, she had to be patient and wait to go downstairs until my mom and Jennifer got over to the house. Luckily she found one present upstairs to open.

My elf and elf pets always leave me one gift for the season. 

They gave me this game I've been wanting!

Christmas Eve, 2019

After we got home from the zoo, Katie did her best to calm down for her night's sleep, but like most kids, she was very excited!

I was ready to start unwrapping, but I had to wait for morning to come. 

Once I was in bed, I remembered that I had this reindeer food left over from last year, so I had to get back up and leave it outside. 

After I spread it around, I felt better! I had to welcome the reindeer as well as Santa.

Christmas Eve at the Zoo

We decided that this would be the perfect year to begin a new holiday tradition. Katie had wanted to go see the lights at the zoo for the whole season, but when things got busy, we ran out of time. We decided to head there on Christmas Eve. We had so much fun, and the crowds were so much lower than the rest of the year!

We decided to go on the train ride first, but we had to wait for a train to come. 

Aunt Jennifer was really excited to go! 

I loved how the train looked when we saw it coming! 

We saw a lot of lights on our train ride. 

There were lights all through the zoo. I loved the butterflies. 

I decided to feed the hummingbird. 

The big lawn area had so many lights that were coordinated with music. 

We stood and watched those lights for awhile. 

Why do Christmas lights always look better in person than in pictures? 

It was easy to stay on the Zoo Lights path. 

 Who knew there would be a bear around the corner to greet me?

It was the perfect night for a warm hug. 

This was my favorite part. It was like a painting made out of lights. 

I was also excited to see a Chinese dragon hanging in the background. 

It was so pretty there. 

We even stayed warm with layers and hand warmers. 

On the way out, we stopped in the tunnel of lights.

Christmas Cookies

We usually make gingerbread cookies at Christmas, but this Christmas, we just made peanut butter cookies and we thought of my dad all the way through the baking. We all love homemade peanut butter cookies, but no one loved them as much as my dad. Each year, Katie and I always made him peanut butter cookies for Christmas. It was a fun way to think about him.

Someday I will be tall enough to stand on the floor and be able to reach the dough. 

My mom doesn't want me to grow any faster though. 

Once we mix everything, we have to slowly form the dough into balls.

This is my very favorite part of making the cookies...stamping them with a fork. 

When they were done, we enjoyed them for Grandpa!

Dress Designing

When we went to spend time at my sister's house, Katie headed to the playroom to design some Barbie clothes.

I made this beautiful dress with a piece of felt and a pipe cleaner.

Having Fun at Grandma's

Katie and I were spending some time at my mom's house. She always has fun there!

 We had fun hanging out with Grandma! 

I did some coloring and some dancing! 

Life is good!
