We had a vegetable tray that was getting old. Instead of just throwing the vegetables out, Katie and I decided to put them behind our house for the bunnies. We have so many rabbits in our yard already that we didn't think this would draw any new rabbits near. We went back into the house to watch the vegetables and see what kind of wildlife would eat them. We watched and watched and watched. After about two hours of watching, the only thing we had seen was one bluebird. Even the next morning, the vegetables were still there. So much for our idea of getting to observe wildlife! The vegetables were finally discovered and all of them were eaten, but we only got to see one rabbit eat a few carrots. All of the rest was eaten in secrecy!
I was so excited to see what animals would eat our vegetables!
I spread them out carefully,...
…a little at a time.
This is what we observed most of the time the vegetables were out. Oh well. I hope the animals enjoyed their meal!
