Attached to the Tea Set

There are some days that Katie just won't go anywhere without her tea set.

Hey, Chloe! That's my tea pot! 

Just enjoying my breakfast. 

I get to go shopping!

I have to take my tea pot shopping too!

Where Are You?

Katie was pretty quiet one afternoon, so I went to check on her. I looked in the kitchen and couldn't find her anywhere!

My mom can never find me because I'm so good at hiding. 

Is she still looking for me? 

I see her, but I bet she can't see me! 

Here I am!

Sharing Our Day

One night, Katie was enjoying some water with her bear. All I could do was to laugh because Katie and Bear looked like a couple of people hanging out, sharing their troubles.

Sit down. Join me. Tell me about your day.

 Did you see the water I got you? It's my treat.

I don't think your day sounds so bad. 

Ahhh…that's good water! 

Just whisper your secrets in my ear. 

It's been good talking to you, Bear!

It's Tea Time, Chloe!

As everyone probably knows by now, Katie loves her tea set. She enjoys pouring her "tea" into the cups and serving her stuffed animals and anyone in the room. She also likes to take Chloe tea.

Growing Like a Weed

Katie decided to go sit on the shelf like she used to do. It was one of those moments where it became very clear how much she has grown!

Play-Doh Creations

Katie and I spent some time building things out of Play-Doh. I have to say that she was probably most impressed with my ability to make snakes. (That's close to my extent of sculpture talent!)  She had me make snakes out of almost every color and then she added the extra details.  It was a fun time of working together!

Maybe I can make a snake like my mom! 

 I already gave my green snake a hat!

I wonder what I should add next. 

Ah-ha! 

(Katie will hold one finger up or put a finger to her mouth like this and shout, "Ah-ha!" when she has a good idea.) 

I'll just add a little more. I'm concentrating so hard that my tongue came out. 

It's perfect!

I love it! My mom can make lumpy hearts too!

Exploring Water

Ever since Katie got her tea set, she has a thing for water. She LOVES to play with water. Lately, she has been putting  a variety of her play silverware in her cups to stir or cut through her cup of water. When she uses a fork to stir, she'll lift the fork out of the water, and draw a water line on the table or furniture with the wet fork. She thinks her drawn water line looks just like a snake, and she hisses in a friendly way at it!

I love to stir water!

Sometimes it's fun just to watch the water drip.
