Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Trying to Get Better

A few weeks ago, Katie got sick. It was really the first time she has been sick for an extended period of time since I met her. I felt awful for her. She had a high fever for 5 days and a terrible cough that went on for two weeks. After Katie got over the worst of her cough and fever, she was aching to play like she did before she was sick.

What should I do with my two spoons?

I'll try to dig a hole!

Now what should I do?

I'll walk around waving my arms above my head!

I'm so happy to be moving!

Now what?

I guess I'll dance.

Why do I keep getting tired?

I see you, Grandma!

Grandma always likes to play Peek-a-Boo!

I guess I'll rest again.

I'll clap for myself to get going. C'mon, Katie! I know you can play!

Anyone want to read my card?

Time for tea!

Why does this cough keep surprising me?

I'll be glad when I feel all the way better!

Brrrr!

Katie enjoys telling people she's cold by wrapping her arms around herself and shaking. She'll do it when she actually is cold, but she'll also sometimes do it when she wants to practice her drama skills.

It's so cold in here!

I can't believe they served me ice water!

Brrrr!

How Did That Happen?

Katie likes to play with the powder bottle. She has never figured out how it opens, so it has been safe for her to shake up and down or side to side. She happened to grab it the other day when it had been left opened. She was quite shocked with the results.

That's never happened before!

Never Hurts to Be Safe

Katie spotted her bike helmet one day, and she wanted to play with it. She was making sure that everyone and everything was safe!

The helmet will protect you when you get out of the chair!

I think I have this on right.
It looks as good as when my mom puts it on.

The horse needs to be safe too!

Finding the Phone

I picked up my phone one day and saw that Katie had found my phone and had taken a series of self-portraits!

Look what I just did!

No one is even taking the phone away from me!

I'm missing an eye! What happened to it?

I'm trying a side view.

This is so much fun!

My mom has a fun phone!

Feeding Chloe

Katie decided to help Chloe eat the other day when she saw that Chloe was ignoring her food. She quickly picked up her tea pot and one of her toy spoons. Then she spooned the food out of Chloe's bowl and moved the food to the tea pot which she had put next to Chloe. The transportation of food was a little messy since her spoon was so small. Eventually Chloe got her food and enjoyed her meal.

Hold on, Chloe! I'll bring you some more food unless I spill it all.

Do I really have to eat out of a tea pot?

Playing the Xylophone

Katie practiced playing the xylophone the other day and then decided that Winnie the Pooh should learn to play.

What song should I play?

I love how this sounds!

You have to hold the mallet, Winnie.

Now you can play music.

We make a good team!
