Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Walking Through the City

While Katie was waiting for my mom's second surgery to finish, she went on a walk through the city with her Aunt Jennifer to pass the time.

I loved looking at the fountain that we passed!

Back to the Dentist

Katie is pretty good friends with her dentist at this point. As long as she has to go there, I'm glad that she's so comfortable in her surroundings and likes everyone she ever sees!

I know my way all around the waiting room!

I don't even get nervous as I wait anymore.

Time for a movie!

Making Wishes

After purse shopping, Katie went to visit her favorite fish and made some wishes while she was there.

Grandma gave me two pennies to make a wishes on!

My first wish was to have a Cinderella wedding!

I can see my penny!

My second wish was to have more rocks!

Shopping for Purses

My mom was shopping for a new purse, and Katie was in seventh heaven! She tried on almost every purse in the store.

Oh my gosh! Look at the blue purse I found!

It's just like Cinderella!

Let's see what else I can find?

I'll just wait here while Grandma pays for her purse.

Teasing Grandma

I had gotten a bag of Halloween decorations because I needed some bats for school. Katie enjoyed having all of the leftovers. One morning, she decided to throw some of the spiders over the back of the couch that my mom was sitting on to try to scare her. Katie thought it was fun, but it became even more fun when my mom started tossing them back over her shoulder at Katie.

She'll never know I'm coming with these skeletons!

That was funny! She wasn't expecting the skeleton to go flying at her!

Uh-oh! Here it comes back!

I love to laugh with Grandma!

I'm a Fairy!

One day after school, Katie ran upstairs in a mad dash for her dress-up bucket. I heard her shout with glee, "I'm a fairy! I'm a fairy!" I followed her upstairs to see quite the costume.

I'm a fairy, complete with wings and a skirt!

Waiting for Grandma

My mom has been getting cataract surgery on her eyes and going to follow-up appointments. Sometimes Katie has been at preschool, and sometimes she has gone along. Luckily, she really seems to like waiting rooms.

Reasons why I love waiting rooms…
Reason #1 - the beautiful flowers

Reason #2 - the beautiful decorations
I loved this "flamingo."

Reason #3 - the interesting reading material

Reasons #4 - fun company
