Fun with Earmuffs

The other day, Katie found a new way to wear her earmuffs. She gets lots of use out of those things!

Halloween Pajamas

You may remember that Katie got some glow-in-the-dark Halloween pajamas last year, and she was scared of the glowing face. Whenever she was anywhere dark, she'd quickly cover up the glowing spots. With that in mind, I was shocked this year when Katie selected her Halloween pajamas…glow-in-the-dark. Her fear seems to have completely passed, and now she wants to walk around in a dark house all the time, so she can light up.

I like my magical pajamas this year!

Having Fun at School

Katie loves going to school. She has made a couple of good friends, and she shares her adventures at school with me at bedtime. Her favorite thing at school is the playground, but she enjoys all the other things as well…calendar time, handwriting, music, reading. I'm glad she's happy there!

We had a pumpkin hunt at school and got to decorate the pumpkins we found!

Castle Blocks

One night Katie was playing with her castle blocks again. While she helped Aunt Jennifer build the castle, she figured out that the blocks could be used in different ways. One the castle was done, Katie went to bed, leaving the castle for morning, but unfortunately, someone found the blocks.

These blocks can be used as a hat, or... 

…as glasses! 

After I went to bed, Chloe admired the castle so much that she had to lie down next to it. 

A castle doesn't last long with a dog nearby!

Making a Birthday Cake for Grandma

A couple of days after my mom's birthday, she was ready for her favorite birthday treat - chocolate lava cake. Katie was more than happy to help prepare it!

This Is Tricky

Last week, Katie started doing these running/dancing/skipping/leaping routines that go across a room and usually end with a pose or a bow. Before she starts, she likes to say, "This one is really tricky!" It's funny to watch because she takes her tricky routines so seriously!

Getting Ready for School

When Katie was headed off for school one morning, she decided to stop for some pictures.

I always have time for a picture! 

It's even better when I can be silly.
