Camping

One morning, Katie decided to take Bailey "camping." I wasn't invited, but I was allowed to take a couple of pictures.

After our busy day camping, we decided to take a nap in our tent. 

Living in the wilderness is fun!

Trapping Ants

A couple of weeks ago when Katie was at Story Time, the librarian read books that were all related to bugs. After the stories, the kids completed an art project, which was creating a bug jar on paper. Ever since that week, Katie has decided that she wants to trap ants. In the past, ants have just made her squeal and run, but now she gets up close and personal.

 We made these bug jars in the library, and that put ideas in my head!

When I got home, I collected materials and headed outside. 

I knew there had to be a way to get the ants out of the crack in the driveway. 

When I catch them, I'm going to keep them in my tea set pitcher. It'll be perfect!

All Bundled Up

On a hot, summer afternoon, Katie decided that she needed a warm blanket. I laughed when I saw how she fell asleep!

I know we were in the middle of a heat wave, but sometimes the air conditioner is cold!

A New Bubble Machine

When Katie's bubble machine broke, Garyldine and friends, Madison and McKenna, found a new one. Since it was princess themed, it was the best bubble machine yet!

I couldn't believe I had a new princess bubble machine!

Back to Story Time

Summer time means back to Story Time at our public library. Katie loves her time there! She enjoys the stories, the music, and the crafts. They do such a good job.

After the stories, we got to sing, dance, and play with scarves. 

Then we got to design a kite! 

I loved how mine turned out.

Posing in a New Dress

Awhile ago, I ordered Katie a new dress. It was really cheap, and I thought it would be a good summer play dress. I was shocked when I received it, and saw that it was a very formal dress. I didn't know what to do with it since I couldn't return it, but I didn't need to worry. Katie loves to use it as a new costume. She usually calls it her wedding dress.

Practicing with Roller Skates

Now that summer is here, Katie has been interested in learning to roller skate. It has been so hot though, that Katie decided it was easier to practice in the house.

My balance gets better each day! 

Pretty soon, I'll be too fast for pictures!
