Working on Thank You Notes

After Christmas, we began the process of writing thank you notes. In addition to writing the notes, Katie also liked to draw a picture for the recipients of her notes.

I worked hard on my rainbow unicorn!

Not Ready for Bed Yet

Katie always has to do some last minute playing before she heads to bed at night. If I let her, she could spend hours on the floor playing with her princesses!

I promise I'll only play for five minutes. Then five minutes more. Then ten minutes more….

Training Sadie

Sadie has been going to some private training lessons, and Katie was excited to tag along, so she could learn Sadie's commands.

Sadie is very nervous on hard floors. She's able to practice getting used to them during training. 

The trainer had to get her this bathroom mat because she wouldn't practice sitting on the hard floor. 

She was a good dog! 

I had fun with Sadie on the way home! 

We even sang songs together!

A Blast from the Past

When Jennifer was cleaning our garage, she found a bucket of our old toys that she had promised to find for Katie. Katie has had so much fun with our old toys, and we have had fun reminiscing!

My mom and Aunt Jennifer had a Barbie Fashion Plaza, a Barbie house, and... 

…a Sunshine Family Craft Store!

 The Fashion Plaza had an escalator for my dolls!

I was happy to get their toys! The dogs were too, so we had to put a gate around my play space!

Enjoying the Snowfall

One afternoon, we were surprised with a small snowfall. We didn't have any snow stick, but Katie had fun experiencing it. Her biggest goal for a long time was to catch snowflakes on her tongue!

When Aunt Jennifer first told me it was snowing, I ran straight to the window to see it! 

Then my mom let me go out on the deck! 

I really wanted to catch a snowflake on my tongue! 

I love when it snows, but... 

…I was having a hard time catching my snowflake! 

I decided to take a break and just watch and enjoy the weather. 

Sadie decided to watch with me. 

C'mon, snowflakes! 

The dogs liked it as much as I did.

My mom was trying to help me catch a snowflake!

After catching snowflakes, I had other aspirations!

We decided to take the dogs on a snowy walk. 

I stopped at the playground but didn't stay long when the play structure was slippery. 

A surprise snowfall is always fun!

A Jolly Hat

While we were out shopping, Jennifer found the cutest hat. We didn't buy it, but we knew Katie had to try it on for fun.

Heading Out

The day after Christmas, we headed out to get a few things for next year. Katie quickly decided she had to dress like her doll. When she chose her doll's outfit, I told her she didn't have a matching one, but she let me know right away that I was wrong.

I knew I could put together matching outfits! 

I was ready for some informal shopping!
