Grandma liked her key chain, and now she can find her keys easier!
Red Thread...
There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.
This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

A Fun Key Chain
Katie was walking through the store when she saw a plush Olaf key chain. Since she knew my mom loved Olaf, she wanted to get the key chain for her.

Still Hoping
We went to Pier One, and Katie found the chair that she dreams about getting. She loves to crawl up in it and just hope that one day the chair will be at her house.
I feel like this would be a perfect swing for me!

A Love for Reading
Katie has always loved books from the time she was tiny, but her love has changed. She has moved from loving to listen to stories, talking about stories, and looking at her favorite books and telling the stories to doing all of that plus being able to read the words herself.
Before dancing, I always have time for Frog and Toad.
I can only read some of the words in my pop-up fairy book, but I LOVE it!
I discovered that some fairies live in trees like we have behind our house. I wanted to go searching for fairies in our "woods."
It's always fun to go to the library and choose books.
Where to start? Where to start?
Who wouldn't love to read?

Taking Care of the Fairy Gardens
One of Katie's favorite things to do in the warmer weather is to water her fairy gardens. There is just something she loves about using a watering can.
I often like to talk to the fairies before I begin watering the plants.
I water the non-living things in the fairy gardens, but...
…I also water the living things.
Down to the last drop!

Making a Home
As I've posted, Katie loves to sit in the empty cupboards she finds in Jennifer's house. She liked them so much that she decided to move into one of the cupboards. She made up a telephone number to put on the door in case she needs to be reached, she added a mailbox to the other door, and she added a flashlight to the inside, so she can read, draw, and play. She is all set! It wasn't just a passing fancy either. She spends hours inside her new house and has never gotten tired of it. Every time I knock on her door to visit, she's as happy as can be.
I moved into the perfect house!
It's quiet and peaceful. I have dolls, books, paper, and art supplies.
It feels full of possibilities!

Being Silly
Katie, quite often, likes to be silly. She often will use whatever is around her to take part in her silliness. This particular afternoon, Katie had fun with that famous Thanksgiving-stuffing-mixing-pot and an empty box.
Every Thanksgiving, we always test to see if I will still fit in this pot.
I decided I didn't want to wait until November to try again.
It's always fun to sit in a pot.
Next I decided to turn this box into a car and go for a drive.
Look out! I'm coming around the corner!
Maybe I better drive with a helmet!
Perfect!

Wildlife Entertainment
The wildlife around our house has proved to be very entertaining to Katie this spring. One weekend, we were very excited to find a bobcat behind our house. In all of our years of living here, we've only spotted one other bobcat so we felt lucky to see another. We observed the bobcat for as long as we could, watching it go back and forth between hunting and relaxing.
The bobcat had a lot of hunting ground behind our house!
I like bobcat tails!
We thought it was leaving, but...
…it went right back again!
Aunt Jennifer and I watched closely and updated everyone about what was happening.
I love when wild animals visit!
