Still a Mystery

Katie had her doll out the other day and happened to put it on the couch. Each time she sees this doll's eyes close as it is set down flat, it captures her curiosity.

None of my other dolls have eyes that open and close. 

I just can't figure it out!

Getting Ready for the Recital

Katie is so excited for her dance recital. It won't be long until she can be a magical mirror in The Beauty and the Beast. She has spent more and more time each week getting ready.

Fun in the Sun

When Katie started feeling better, she spent a day playing in the sun. To begin the day, we bought a new pool for Jennifer's house that is bigger than her old one. For the rest of the day, she just played and relaxed.

We found the pool we wanted right away, but we had a hard time getting it in our car. This was how I felt in between trying some different methods of fitting the pool in the car. 

 I was so happy to get the pool to Aunt Jennifer's house and take my first steps in the pool.

 Sadie liked the warm air, but she is scared of water, so she hid behind the chair.

 When Aunt Jennifer came out to see my pool, we had a water fight!

 Sophie likes getting wet, and Sadie can't figure that out!

 After Aunt Jennifer went back to work, I decided to water the trees behind the fence.

 I kept reapplying sunscreen. Is it rubbed in?

 Eventually, I had to get my bubbles out and enjoy them from the pool!

 It's so fun to watch the bubbles float away.

 Eventually, I changed into my other swimming suit. After such a long winter, I wanted to make sure to get use out of both suits!

 I decided to turn myself into a fountain. It was hard to make the water go straight up.

 I also like to just take time to take in the world and experience it second by second.

 I'm so happy to see the sun once in awhile again!

Sickness Strikes

Right before Memorial Day weekend, Katie got sick. We had planned a road trip over the weekend, but we decided to stay home when Katie wasn't feeling well.

My energy wasn't quite the same as what it normally is. 

It wasn't long before I was curled up with a fever!

Nice Day for a Walk

On one of our beautiful days, Katie helped take our dogs out for a walk. She took all sorts of accessories with her, so she'd be prepared for any situation. She just forgot to take an extra pair of shoes, so when her fancy silver shoes gave her blisters, all she could do was walk home barefoot.

I was ready to go with my birthday bag full of supplies. 

 Luckily, I remembered my pad of paper to take notes along the way.

Nothing beats a walk in warm weather!

New Flowers

On Katie's special night at school, she was able to take home some plants that she had planted at school. She was so excited to get them home and plant them there.

I was so ready to get my plants in the ground! 

They looked pretty happy to me! 

I gave them a nice drink of water and took very good care of them until the rabbits ate them! Oh well…they were fun while they lasted! 

A Fun Night

Katie had a fun night at school to celebrate all of the students' growth throughout the year. She sang some songs with the kindergarten students, she showed everyone her work that was set out in her classroom, and best of all, she got to eat an ice cream sandwich. The night was perfect!

I was so excited to see my friends at school! 

 We got to sing lots of our favorite songs!
