Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Some Fun Glasses

Our family is a fan of Randy Rainbow. Katie knew we had upcoming tickets to see him in person, so she asked if she could get some glasses like he wears on his videos. Of course, I was all for it!

Now I'm ready for some serious reporting!

Goal Driven

The night before Katie went back to school from Spring Break, she had other things on her mind besides sleep. Don't forget, she was taking part in the reading challenge with the school library teacher. Even though she had taken books and read while she was at Disneyland, she knew she would still have catching up to do. It was so hard to get her to go to bed because she kept saying, "I have to read more," and gathering more books. She finally went to bed, excited to get back to school. In the end, she read over 700 minutes for the week and received a prize of a new book. She couldn't have asked for anything better!

I knew I could read more!

May I Take Your Order?

Katie still loves to play with her kitchen. Whenever she gets in the mood, she finds a pad of paper and becomes a waitress and a chef!

First, I gather everyone's orders.

Then I deliver the food!

Hatching an Animal

At Easter, Katie had gotten an egg that you put in water and in three days, an animal hatches from it. She didn't have time to have it finish before we went to Disneyland, so she saved it for when we got back. She patiently waited for her egg to crack, so she could see what was in it. She was so happy when it finally came out!

My egg looked a little strange as it opened, but I was excited to see a bunny!

My mom explained that real rabbits don't come out of eggs, but Mr. Limpet and I thought it was fun all the same!

Going Back Home

The next day we headed back home. It was such a fun trip!

I always think it's fun to watch shows on the plane monitors!

After I got tired of the shows, I wrote some memories down. Thanks for coming with us, Aunt Debby!

One Last Visit

Before Debby had to leave on our last night at Disneyland, we had to go visit one more character... Mickey Mouse, of course! We headed to his house in Toon Town and waited to meet him. He was in the middle of filming a Steamboat Willie movie, so he was dressed differently than he had ever been on any of our other visits.

Aunt Debby had said she wanted to meet Mickey, so we were glad to find him!

I waited patiently for Mickey to sign my book!

I felt like I was meeting a movie star!

Bye, Mickey! I hope to see you soon!

A Few More Characters

Next, we spent some time visiting characters. The first one Katie saw was a repeat character. We had gone to the Annual Passholder's Corner, where there was a mystery character. It happened to be Daisy Duck again, but Katie's always happy to see her, even if it's more than once.

Daisy Duck came to get me, and we skipped to our picture taking place.

She's so much fun!

Just like the other day, she was in a dancing mood!

I would be happy to see Daisy anytime!

Next, I got Jessie to sign my autograph book.

It was nice to see Jessie too!

Finally, Aunt Debby and I saw Stitch.

I felt almost as tall as him!

Afterward, we stopped to watch one of my favorite bands.

The singer always waves to me!
