Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Designing Clothes

Katie loves when she has time to design clothes. She's actually quite good at it. She has a lot more ideas than I would ever have.

I love my sketch pad!

My favorite thing to design is long dresses.

There's a Reason

There's a good reason why we took Katie's picture in front of the tree many times the night we set it up.

Just like we predicted, General Washington loves the tree. Can you find him? He is often in the middle of it while Mr. Limpet plays with the ornaments and lights.

This is now what our tree looks like more often than not.

Pictures in Front of the Tree

When we finished decorating the tree, we decided that Katie better get some pictures in front of the tree before the cats had much time with it. She looked at it as a fun adventure. She got all of her dresses that looked right for the season and did a fashion show in front of the tree.

I tried to think of a different pose for each dress!

I for sure wanted a pose holding one of the decorative birds!

I felt like I could just go on the tree in this dress.

It's a season to wear fancy clothes, and...

...a season to have fun!

Putting Up Our Tree

After Jennifer put her Christmas tree up, Katie was so excited to get our tree up this year. However, I was a little apprehensive about it. I knew we had to get it up, but I wasn't looking forward to the cats taking it apart. At least that was my prediction.

As soon as the tree came out of the box, visitors appeared.

This should have been a warning sign to us. It just shows how close General Washington likes to be to the tree.

The first thing we had to do was to fluff the branches and put the lights on the tree.

After that, we got to add the fun decorations!

I made sure to put some up high and some down low.

I found my handprint from when I was only one.

I love everything about decorating!

Mr. Limpet kept a close eye on me as I worked.

When we were done, I loved the tree!

Another Box from Santa

Just like last year, Katie received a box from Santa in the mail, and she was thrilled!

The boxes that Santa sends have so much in them! I was most excited to see that I was on the nice list!

I received one of Rudolph's bells,...

...a sugar cookie from Mrs. Claus,...

...some reindeer food for Christmas Eve,...

...and some hot cocoa!

Santa is the best!
