A Trip to the Zoo

The next day, my mom, Garyldine, and Aunt Jody took Katie to the zoo to meet Jeff and his family there. Time at the zoo is always fun for Katie!

We stayed longer at the zoo than I have ever stayed! I loved it!

Finding Friends

After walking down the beach, we met up with everyone else. Katie, Ian, and Eva worked together to make a castle and then found lots of shells to decorate the castle.

The three of us went searching for shells as soon as our castle was built.  

We had pretty good luck where the tide had just gone out. 

Why is everything so much nicer when you have friends? 

I had such a good time with you!

Getting to the Beach

As we were driving to the beach, we were in two separate cars. When we got to the beach, Jeff and I took separate exits without knowing it, so we ended up on opposite sides of the town. We decided to just eat lunch separately and then meet on the beach. Katie was more than excited to walk down the beach when she knew her cousins would be at the other end!

I LOVE the beach! 

As we walked down the beach, we found lots of spots with shallow water. I liked checking the temperature of the water. 

I also liked to walk through it as long as it didn't cover my shoes. 

I just didn't want soaking wet shoes all the way home. 

I got to the other end of the beach. All I needed now was Ian and Eva!

Going to the Maritime Museum

The next day, we headed towards the beach. We made one stop on the way at the Maritime Museum and learned about the river.

We started out at the gift shop to find some jackets for the cool day. Uncle Jeff found a perfect hat!

Ian, Eva, and I explored the model of the boat. 

After looking at the inside of the museum, we checked out the outside. 

When Eva started crawling up high, Aunt Grace came to help her get down safely. 

I have so much fun spending time with Ian and Eva!

Visiting Family

A couple of weeks ago, my brother, his wife, and his two kids came to visit for a few days. We were all happy to see them!

I wanted to play all day with my cousins. We went to a park on their first day and played and played!

Going to a Parade

Katie got invited to go to a local parade with Kai and his family. She was surprised to be able to collect lots of candy while she was there.

It was raining a little on the day of the parade, but we were prepared! 

We have fun in any weather. 

After the parade, we looked through the candy that we collected. Thanks for bringing me!

Ballet Practice

Katie has really enjoyed being back in ballet this summer!

I've gotten to know one of the new teachers this summer, and I really like him! 

 One of the things we practice is walking like a ballerina. I learned that ballerinas put their toes down before their heels.
