Putting Together a Dessert

 When the 4th of July hit, Katie decided that she was going to put together a dessert for everyone.

I'm getting pretty good at using a hand mixer.

Checking on the Blackberries

When July hits, Katie starts dreaming of blackberries. We decided to go check the bushes by our house to see how close berries were.

You have to be careful when you're walking in sandals near these prickly bushes!

I made it!

Some of the flowers were still left on the bushes, but...

...most of the flowers were gone and berries were in their place. Now I just have to wait for them to ripen!

Darn It

When the yard people were here the other day, they accidentally pulled the flower that Katie gave me for Mother's Day.

I couldn't believe the flower was gone when I walked out.

I couldn't stop staring at it!

Darn it! I loved that flower!

Ugg..the Pictures!

Sometimes you have the perfect opportunity for pictures, and it's so disappointing when the pictures don't turn out. Last night, Katie and my mom were having so much fun playing the Ring Toss game. My phone wasn't around, so I tried to get some pictures on Katie's iPod, and I was so disappointed that they turned out so blurry. 

We just moved some of the furniture around to play our game.

We laughed a lot!
