It has been a very busy weekend doing the things that I have been putting off for awhile...shopping, getting work done around the house, organizing for packing, and building/installing baby things. After building the Jumperoo, Jennifer (my sister) and I had Bingle test it out for us! I'm not sure Bingle had as much fun as we did as we watched at her, but she forgave us once she was out - other than a few glaring looks. I think we may have taken a bit of her dignity away, but she has already built it back up again!
Red Thread...
There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.
This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Good News
I had a pre-adoption consult today with a doctor today who specializes in international adoption medicine. Just to be on the safe side, his office looked at the Chinese documents to make sure the interpretation matched the one I had received. Everything matched, and Katie was given rave reviews! He said everything looked great across the board. The doctor also said he had high respect for the orphanage she is living in now because the babies he has seen from that orphanage are typically well-taken care of and loved. It was good - no great - news to hear!

My Pets
The closer I get to leaving, the guiltier I feel about leaving Chloe and Bingle. I always miss them when I travel, and when I do travel, it's never for two weeks. If I could take them with me, I would. Hopefully, it won't take long for them to forgive me for disrupting their life routine! I'm sure they'll like having a new person in the house that drops food on the floor though! Lots of treats for them!
