A Tea Party

One day, Katie found Bingle happily sleeping on the bed. She decided it was perfect timing to have a tea party with a cat.

Bingle was so excited to get her cup of tea! 

She got even happier when I joined her!

The Tulip Festival

Nothing quite says spring like heading to the tulip festival. My mom, sister, and I decided to grant Katie her wish and drive down to the festival one weekend. Unfortunately, driving there on a sunny, weekend day means lots and lots of traffic. It was a long trip there and got a bit longer with car problems on the way.

We finally made it though, and just like always, it was beautiful. We had a good time and made it home with four bunches of beautiful tulips.

We were all happy to get out of the car by the time we got to the tulip festival. Aunt Jennifer told me to pose like a tulip. Here's my best interpretation!

I always like the white tulips.

Grandma took a picture with me in front of the dark purple tulips. 

Then it was my turn by myself. 

I always like to see the old-fashioned steam tractor! 

I also like to smell the flowers. 

The pink ones were so pretty. 

We saw acres and acres of beautiful colors! 

Aunt Jennifer and I decided to hide in the tulips. Can you find us? 

This just says spring! 

Hmmm….I wonder when the rest of these tulips will bloom?

This was my mom's favorite tulip. 

You can't walk through flower fields like this just any day. 

With that in mind, I decided to strike a pose while I could! 

We ended by the multi-colored flowers. 

My last pose was an Elsa pose. At least I didn't freeze the flowers. 

It was a great day! 

Aunt Jennifer and I took one last photo together. 

When I got home, I arranged our tulips in a vase! I loved our whole day!

Happy Birthday, Sophie!

Sophie's birthday was a couple of week's after Bailey's. Katie celebrated by giving her lots of extra attention, but thankfully, we didn't spend as much money for the second birthday.

I made Sophie a special breakfast in my play kitchen for her birthday! 

After we got dressed, Sophie got to wear the birthday dress. She didn't get to wear it as long as Bailey because she kept trying to chew it off.

A Picnic

Katie wanted to go on a picnic to our local park. Since we were out and about, we just stopped at the store for a quick lunch and ate at the park on the way home.

It's so much fun to have a simple picnic. 

We had a delicious lunch! 

Everyone should do it once in a while!

A Dancing Update

Katie has started getting ready for her spring recital, and she is so excited to be a part of Mary Poppins this year! It always surprises me how much she likes to be on stage.

In her weekly lessons, part of the lessons are dedicated to learning the recital dance. The rest of the time, they continue to work on technique. She loves whatever they do!

I like doing the stretches before we start with our dancing. 

We still work on lot with the barre. 

Before we work on our recital dance, we have to get in lines and walk to our spots, so we can practice walking onto a stage. 

Extend, extend, extend!

Enjoying a Book

Katie loves a lot of books, but hands down, Piggie and Elephant are two of her favorite characters ever invented. It was fun to see her finding the humor in one of their books the other day.

These books are the best!

Ta-Daaaa!

Katie has been practicing somersaults for awhile now. She feels like she finally has the steps down pat to somersault successfully on her own!

I love to do somersaults!
