Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Meeting a New Friend

The next morning, Katie had the opportunity to meet a character that we knew nothing about. We saw a resemblance to Mickey Mouse, but that was all we knew until we were told that his name was Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Even though it was the first time seeing him, Katie loved meeting him!

Oswald was very friendly!

He was ready to have a good morning!

He was a nice way to begin my last day in Disneyland.

The Rest of Aunt Jennifer's Birthday

For the last part of Jennifer's birthday, we had a delicious lunch at The Blue Bayou Restaurant. The waiter brought Jennifer a surprise chocolate dessert at the end of our meal, and Katie was more than happy to help her eat it! Afterward, we made our way around the park, meeting a few favorite characters, and catching part of a parade.

I just love to be this close to a castle!

We spotted a princess, and while I waited to see her, I stopped to admire one of my favorite places…Snow White's Wishing Well and Grotto.

Afterward, I was greeted by Aurora!

I just love her!

After our conversation, we stopped for a picture together.

After Aunt Jennifer and my mom took me on the Matterhorn Bobsleds, we looked over in the distance and saw the parade!

Since we weren't expecting to see the parade, we weren't very close, but when I looked closely,...

…I could see everything in the distance. Can you spot Rapunzel and her tower?

After the parade, I found two favorites. Donald Duck is just right for hugging!

Goofy wasn't sure I was going to give him a hug, but...

…of course I did!

They are so much fun!

Even though I never want lollipops at home, I always ask for one here. I don't eat much of it, but I always eat enough to make my face dirty!
I hope you had the best birthday ever, Aunt Jennifer!

A Bit of England

We visited a bit of England later in the day. First, Katie and Jennifer went on another favorite ride…Mad Tea Party to ride in a teacup. My mom and I get dizzy just watching the ride, but they both like it. Katie had her eye on the purple teacup, and they were fast enough to claim it.

A little later, Katie had the chance to catch up with not just one, but two of her favorite characters…Bert and Mary Poppins. It was a lucky day!

I was so happy that Aunt Jennifer helped me get to the purple cup first!

I love to go in circles on this ride!

Wasn't I lucky to find both Bert and Mary Poppins? I love them both so much!

Aunt Jennifer's Birthday Gift

Jennifer wanted to meet one character for her birthday…Kylo Ren. Katie was about as excited to meet Kylo Ren as she was Darth Vader on our last trip here - not at all. She agreed to go though since it was Jennifer's wish. As she dragged her feet over to the Magic Kingdom to meet him, she perked up a little when she found a princess!

I was so happy to see Belle on the way to see the dreadful Kylo Ren!

She liked my skirt, and I liked her dress!

She asked me what my favorite ride was. When I told her Splash Mountain, she thought I was adventurous!

I love you, Belle!

Happy Birthday, Aunt Jennifer!

Everyone thought my close-up pictures when I was with Kylo Ren were a little funny.

I tried to smile for Aunt Jennifer!

Afterward, I got to see Chewbacca. I liked him a lot more than the bad guy!

Happy Birthday, Aunt Jennifer!

We began Jennifer's official birthday with two favorite rides. First, we went on Mickey's Fun Wheel, a large Ferris Wheel. Katie went with Jennifer on a swinging gondola, and my mom and I chose a stationary gondola. It was a fun way to get a view from high above the park.

Afterward, we went to Toy Story Midway Mania to play some games. Jennifer got the high score out of all of us, which was very fitting for her birthday.

We were headed straight to Mickey's Fun Wheel!

Every day we were in California, it was hot, hot, hot. I was glad I had packed my sun hat, and I was more glad to spend Aunt Jennifer's birthday with her at Disneyland!

Aunt Jennifer and I like the fun swinging gondola!

Grandma and my mom like to stay steadier on rides, so they got in a different gondola!

I love to wear my 3-D glasses before we go on Toy Story Midway Mania!

An Evening in Disney California Adventure Park

After taking a short break in the hotel to get out of the heat, we headed back out for fun in the park. This time we went to the California Adventure Park. The last ride we went on was Grizzly River Run, the white water rafting ride. Just like earlier in the day when we went on Splash Mountain, we got absolutely drenched. Unlike earlier in the day, there was no sun out to help dry our clothes. It was fun nonetheless!

Aunt Jennifer and I went on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree for the first time.

I loved that ride from the beginning to the end!

After going on The Little Mermaid ride, we walked outside to see the parade going on, so we stopped to enjoy it.

Then we went to ride King Triton's carousel.

I found one of my favorite rides…Francis' Ladybug Boogie.

Aunt Jennifer went on it with me, but she even got dizzy this time.

We found a dancing party. I danced and ran through the misting machines!

Finally, after we got soaked on Grizzly River Run, we got to see the end of the World of Color show.

A Little Bit of Magic

After visiting the presidential libraries, we spent some time at Disneyland to celebrate Jennifer's birthday. We spent the first morning in the Magic Kingdom, visiting some favorite rides!

I love going on Splash Mountain! It's one of my favorites! This time we got drenched!

Of course, I also had to go on the Winnie the Pooh ride. I liked when I found Eeyore's house, and...

…Winnie the Pooh's cabinet!

Who can't be happy when you ride the carousel?

It was a magical morning!
