I think I look good with pink hair!
Red Thread...
There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.
This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Are You a Troll?
Katie got a new pair of earphones. Of course, she wanted the pair with the Trolls theme, so she could have Troll hair when she has them on!

Just Any Old Weekend Day
Katie knows how to live it up on weekends. We were going on a simple weekend errand, but Katie had to get ready first.
After I got dressed in my weekend clothes, I had to put on my pretend lipstick.
Then I got the essentials on to run an errand.

No Way!
As I have pointed out, Katie gets very excited about finding pictures of presidents - on money, in books, on TV…anywhere. One night, she was reading a Barbie book to me. She turned the page to find Ken and one of his friends. She looked and said, "No way! Ken knows Obama!" She was so excited until she read the words and saw that Ken's friend wasn't Obama. It was only a look-a-like.
I was hoping it was you, President Obama!

Sharing
Katie decided to use her new stuffed animal accessories on her real dogs one afternoon. I'm sure they loved it!
Bailey tried on the pretty headband.
Then I sprayed Sophie with water and tried to dry her with my new hairdryer.

Taking Care of Puppy Pie
When Katie left Build-A-Bear Workshop, she left with a list of directions for taking care of her puppy. One of the things on the list is to give her puppy exercise.
Let's go for your walk, Puppy Pie!

Preparing for President's Day
As we were nearing President's Day, Katie started choosing books about the presidents for her bedtime stories.
I love this book about President Obama that Uncle Jeff, Aunt Grace, Ian, and Eva got me!
I like to find the pictures of President Obama, and this book has a bonus…it reminds me of Moana because her island looks like Hawaii!

The Build-A-Bear Experience
Katie had a gift card to Build-A-Bear Workshop, so we took her there to pick out a stuffed animal. It was her first time in the store. She had a really good time.
I chose to make a cute puppy instead of a bear.
We had to wait in a long time to get the puppy stuffed because there was a birthday party happening there. I tried to be patient though.
I was excited when I finally got to the stuffing station.
I got to control the stuffing that came out with my foot!
After it was stuffed, the worker had me do some tricks with the heart before we put it in the puppy.
After she was all sewn up, I took her to the bath station and fluffed her up and brushed her.
Then I got to choose a leash and a dress. I picked a pink dress for her!
I took her to the dressing table, and then...
…I named her Puppy Pie!
Time to go home, Puppy Pie!
