So Close, Yet So Far Away

We have a couple of bunnies that live in our front yard. Katie loves to see them, and she tries very hard to walk over to either bunny, so she can pet it. In her head, it seems like it should be an easy feat, but those bunnies are awfully fast!

Every time I get close to that bunny back there, it scatters away!

A Wildlife Surprise

When we were driving to the store one day, Katie looked out her car window and exclaimed, "Look! A giant bird!" We love unexpected happy surprises!

I couldn't believe how lucky I was to spot such a pretty bird!

One afternoon, Katie decided to make a newspaper for Jennifer to read. She enjoyed some of the headlines in the paper.

Nothing Better Than an Empty Cupboard

Katie loves the kitchen in Jennifer's house because there are so many empty cupboards, and she can fit inside almost every one. What could be better?

I love being wrapped up in a small cupboard!

A Surprise

Katie had a happy surprise one night when we were out past sunset. It wasn't until that night that she discovered that her fairy garden lit up with a solar light. Once that was discovered, it was hard to pull her away from it!

I couldn't believe it when I saw the magical lights!

Celebrating Gotcha Day

Every year, we try to plan for Katie to get pictures to mark her Gotcha Day. We always invite Garyldine along, and we celebrate Garyldine's birthday with Katie's Gotcha Day since they share their special days.

After Katie had her pictures taken, we went to the mall to go out to lunch together. Afterward, Garyldine took Katie to Build-a-Bear Workshop to let her create a stuffed animal. Of course, it made Katie's day, especially when she saw that she could make Princess Celestia of My Little Pony fame.

After that, Katie did some shopping for Garyldine's birthday that she thought was a "just right" store for Garyldine, a jewelry store. She chose some special birthday gifts including jewelry and hair accessories. It was a fun day!

I was happy to help stuff my new pony. I got to stand on the pedal which put the fluff in the pony! 

When it was done, I got to hug the pony to make sure it was stuffed right. After they removed a bit of stuffing, my pony was perfect! 

Then Garyldine and I both put a special heart in the pony.  

We added lots of magic to our hearts before they went in the pony!  

Then we put our hearts inside. It was perfect! Thank you for my gift!

After I got my pony, I found some special birthday presents for Garyldine! 

I was really excited to find a clip for her hair! Happy birthday, Garyldine! 

A Gotcha Day Gift

I always like to get Katie something small for Gotcha Day. This year I got her a Barbie that was part of a Dolls Around the World series, featuring China, of course. Katie was so excited that her Barbie had a dress similar to one of her own Chinese dresses.

I was excited to open the box and see what was inside!
