Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Jumping Jellyfish

Later that day, we headed to Disney California Adventure Park. One of Katie's favorite rides there is Jumping Jellyfish. We thought it would be perfect for Debby to take her on it and enjoy it.

Aunt Debby was excited to go on the ride with me!

We picked a good jellyfish to sit on. The ride jumps up and down so we can see the park from up high.

The ride was a success! We both loved it!

Lunch and a Boat Ride with Friends

After our Winnie the Pooh experience, we went out to lunch with Kai's family, and then we went on one last ride together - The Mark Twain Riverboat. It was a nice afternoon!

It was relaxing to be on a boat for awhile.

Kai and I talked about everything we saw!

Everything is better with friends!

A Long Awaited Ride

After seeing Pluto together, Kai spent time with his family while we went on some rides with our family. After a couple of hours, we met up again. While Brandon and Kathy (Kai's parents), went on a ride, Katie and Kai visited Woody. Afterward, Katie got to go on her first ride with Kai - Winnie the Pooh. She had been waiting to do this for weeks! As we got off the ride, they went to visit the friends from the Hundred Acre Wood.

After Woody signed my autograph book, he took a picture with Kai and me!

We headed over to the Winnie the Pooh ride. I couldn't wait to go with Kai!

After going on the ride, we got to see Tigger!

We bounced up and down with Tigger!

It was so fun!

Thanks, Tigger, for making us smile!

Then we visited gloomy Eeyore.

I hope our smiles put some some sunshine in his life!

Then it was time for my favorite!

You will always hold a special place in my heart, Winnie the Pooh!

What a Surprise!

Once we got onto Main Street, we saw one of Katie's all-time favorite characters - Pluto. Of course, we had to stop and say hello. When we were second in line, someone tapped my arm, and when I turned and looked, Kai was looking at me. We knew Kai and his family were going to be at Disneyland at the same time as us, but I didn't know we would see him so soon. Katie was in seventh heaven to see her friend, and they decided to take a picture with Pluto together.

Pluto is always fun when I see him!

Kai and I waited patiently while Pluto signed my autograph book.

Seeing Pluto with Kai made it extra special!

The First Moments at Disneyland

The next morning was our first morning in the parks. We decided to go to the Disneyland park first and save Disney California Adventure for later. When we got through the gates, Katie saw Ariel and introduced my sister, Debby, to her. What a fun way to start!

Aunt Jennifer and I got through the bag check line first, so we waited happily for everyone else!

It was so good to see Ariel again!

I asked her to sign my autograph book.

I introduced Ariel to Aunt Debby too!

I'll never stop loving her!

Making Our Way to Disneyland

Katie loves the process of travel. For her, it's not just about the end destination. She loves to pack, to hang out at the airport, to fly, and the ride to the hotel. It's all fun!

While I waited for the plane, I read part of my Magic Tree House book. I was taking part in a read-off with my library teacher, and I tried to read a lot before and after Disneyland, so I could beat her!

Once I was on the plane, I did some coloring.

It is always exciting when the plane starts to move.

When it starts going really fast, it tickles my tummy!

It wasn't long before all of my excitement and anticipation from the morning caught up to me.

Who wouldn't be excited to be on the way to your hotel?

Getting Ready to Go

My mom, Jennifer, and I decided to head to Disneyland again for Spring Break to get some use out of our annual passes. My older sister, Debby, was going to meet us there. We also had other friends who would be visiting the parks at the same time. Katie was very excited to go like always. We didn't leave until almost 2:00, so the morning went a little slow for her, but the wait was worth it.

I was all packed up early. I bet you couldn't tell where I was going from looking at my bags!
