Holiday Season Illness

Between Katie and me, we have been sick through most of December between colds and coughs. On top of that, Katie keeps getting random fevers. It will be good to have a break from school to hopefully get healthy.

Sometimes I just don't feel good.

A Grown-Up Nativity Set

Katie loves her Little People Nativity Set, but this year, she got to help my sister, Jennifer, put up her grown-up nativity set. She was curious about it but prefers her set!

As we put the figures into the set, I decided that this one isn't nearly as much fun to play with as mine.

After School Fun

Katie typically stays with me after school while I finish up my work, and she likes to find another staff child to play with as she waits to go home. One of her friends is a first grade boy, and every time he's in the room, he asks Katie to read him the Knuffle Bunny stories. I love to watch it and listen to them!

I love to read to friends even if I read the same book over and over. 

We have so much fun together!

An Update from Santa

Katie recently received a letter from Santa to let her know that she was on the Good List, but he also gave her some suggestions about how to stay on the Good List. Every day, she focuses on one of the items on the list.

I love hearing from Santa!

Advent Calendar

This year, Katie received a Lego advent calendar. She loves getting a new packet of Legos each day to build!

It's always fun to have something to keep you busy!

Taking the Elf on a Ride

One morning, Katie found her elf, Nigel, in her Barbie plane. Katie knew that she couldn't touch Nigel, but she figured out she could play with him by touching her plane.

I just thought I'd have a little fun with Nigel.

Busy Books

Katie loves her Busy Books. She gets to read the stories first and then act out the stories with the included characters!

I like that the book comes with this mat that shows all the scenery in the story!
