Coming Home to Snow

A few days before Valentine's Day, we came home to snow. Before we went in the house, Katie really wanted to spend some time with the fun-filled flakes.

We don't usually get much snow, so I like to take advantage of it whenever we get any! 

It's so much fun just to stand in it. 

I don't even feel the cold. 

One of my favorite things to test is whether or not I can make a snowball. 

Success!

Always Thinking

Katie has learned about mindfulness at school. One morning when her friends weren't around, she decided to make a chart for my students about what it meant to be mindful. I loved it.

I love to teach others what I have learned!

Valentine's Day Planning

Katie got to decorate her own Valentine's box at home this year for her class party. She was so excited! She spent two nights just planning.

I tried out several designs on my Boogie Board before I decided on the final design.

The Cats

The cats are always glad when we return from a vacation, but General Washington was particularly happy to see Katie again.

I heard that General Washington was a little spooked while we were gone, but he warmed up to me pretty quickly after returning!

After a Busy Trip

After a busy trip, sometimes the best thing to do is to spend some relaxing time with your grandma - even if it is at the airport.

Grandma and I like to do word puzzles together!

Sticking it out Until Closing

On our last day at the park, we were at the park in time for their opening, and we stayed until the park was closed. Just like every other day there, we had downpours that soaked us. After the last soaking, we stopped for some warm soup before going back to the hotel. When we were done with the soup, the park was pretty deserted. It was a fun memory.

It rained so hard when we were there that we had to take cover! 

Too bad the castle was covered for my time in Disneyland with no one around at all!

One More Time

Before we left, we went on Midway Mania one more time since it's one of Katie's all-time favorites!

I love this ride, and my mom loves my 3-D glasses!
