Teacher in Training

When schools were closed and we began remote learning, teachers were asked to have virtual class meetings to keep in contact with students. Katie had one of these class meetings with her class before I had one with my kindergarten students. As I was trying to plan my meeting, Katie piped up with, "Don't worry! I'll help you! I know what to do!"

I was so excited to choose a book that my mom could read to her students!

Getting Another Letter

As you know, Katie loves getting mail from her pen pals!

I like to run up ahead of my mom to check the mailbox!

 I was so happy to find a letter for me!

I can never wait until I get home. I read my letters right away! 

Another Encouraging Word

It was time for another walk, which meant it was time to build a new word!

The Neighborhood Cat

By now, you know that Katie loves the neighborhood cat. One of her favorite things that happens with the cat is when the cat hears Katie before Katie sees the cat, and it runs out and plops on the sidewalk right in front of her to make it easy for Katie to pet it.

I love this cat so much!

A Favorite Thing

One of Katie's favorite things right now is mailing letters to her two pen pals.

Off my letter goes, and then I patiently wait for one in return!

Keeping Watch

Wherever Katie is, her cats are not usually far behind. They like to keep watch for her whenever they are in her bedroom. You never know when an attack bird might try to get through the window.

General Washington and Mr. Limpet are pretty good at monitoring all flying objects outside my window!

Seeing an Old Friend

It's always a happy day for Katie when she spies the friendly neighborhood cat!

This has to be one of the happiest cats I've ever met!
