A Gift from Nigel

Katie always receives a gift from her elf, Nigel. She spends time looking at that gift while she waits for everyone to arrive on Christmas morning.

An Early Christmas Gift

Katie got to open one of her gifts early - the gift from her friend, Kai.

A Flashback

Not long after we adopted Gilbert and Wilson, we passed the anniversary of adopting Mr. Limpet. We must be a Christmas cat family.

I still remember the day we met Mr. Limpet!

No Relief

We were motivated to wrap our presents this year, so we could shove them under the tree to keep the cats from climbing it. That just created a new problem.

The kittens quickly made themselves comfortable in the gift bags.

The Cats at Christmas Time

The cats make it really hard to enjoy our Christmas tree during the season since they're constantly crawling in it and removing the ornaments. That's the hardest thing about Christmas season. The cats love the entire season though because they can always find something to play with - whether it's the tree or something else.

We were just trying to wrap our Christmas gifts, and General Washington kept jumping in the presents.

Equal Attention

Once General Washington and Mr. Limpet came home, Katie made sure to pay equal attention to them as to the kittens.

General Washington seemed so big after spending time with Gilbert and Wilson.

Time to Meet

After a week and a half, Gilbert and Wilson were finally over their upper respiratory infection, and we could bring Mr. Limpet and General Washington home to meet their new family members. We were so happy to have them back home. We missed them so much while they were gone.

The big meeting wasn't as big as we anticipated. Mr. Limpet and General Washington just slowly approached the kittens and then walked away. Later, they approached more and more. They weren't thrilled with the change, but all they did was hiss once in awhile. The kittens handled it with no stress whatsoever.

For the first day, we stayed in the dog kennel until we knew that everything would go well.
