Swinging

Katie loves to swing. It wasn't until she started her music lessons that we became aware of all of the benefits of swinging. It had just been something she enjoyed doing.

At her music lessons each week, Katie gets to swing in a blanket. She lies on the blanket and two adults hold each end of the blanket and rock her back and forth. She likes to do that at home too, but as she gets bigger, it gets harder to hold the blanket for the amount of time she wants to swing.

We decided to take her to the local school playground over the weekend to experience her first real swing ride. She LOVED it. I'm sure if we were willing, she'd go there every day and stay for hours!

I see something that looks fun, Grandma! 

I wasn't sure about all of these chains when I first sat down. 

This is a nice way to enjoy the outdoors!
