Teeth News

This fall, Katie visited the orthodontist to see what could be done for her crossbite. She ended up getting a palatal expander to make more room for her teeth. She was a little bit nervous at first, but she has done really well with the new changes. As the expander widens her palate, her teeth get more separated first and then fall more into place as things settle.

In addition to that, Katie had lost the tooth next to her front teeth awhile ago, but there was not room for the adult tooth to come in at the time. Also, right after she got the expander, she lost the tooth on the other side of her front teeth. So right now, she has lots of extra space by her front teeth.

Between my expander and my teeth falling out, I have lots of space right now! 

I was excited to lose another tooth in all of the excitement.
