Exploratorium

After Chinatown, Katie got to go to a science museum called Exploratorium. She loved it!

Chinatown

The next morning, Katie got to go to Chinatown!

I was excited to get to Chinatown!

I loved the lanterns.

I was born in the Year of the Tiger, so I"m happy to celebrate it this year!

We got to visit the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory to watch fortune cookies get made!

Then we were invited to write our own fortunes.

When we got done, they put the fortunes in cookies for us!

Our fortune cookie was put in a cute little container.

I loved it there!

Finishing Out Day One

It was a fun-filled first day in San Francisco!

We found these painted seals and liked them, so we got a picture with them!

When we got back to the hotel room, we got to relax with pizza! Yum!

Time for a Little Food

Katie headed to the famous Ghiradelli Square for some food.

It was fun to come here.

We had Chinese food for lunch.

Then we got ice cream! Yum!

We found a two story carousel, and Kai and I rode on the top story.

I was off to a great start on my trip!

Another Stop

 Next Katie got to stop at The Palace of Fine Arts.

I loved how it looked from a distance.

It was pretty close up too!

The Golden Gate Bridge

Katie got to ride a bike all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge!

I got to ride on a tandem bike with Brandon!

I stopped for a selfie with Kathy and Kai.

It was a fun way to travel.

I loved watching the bay!

Lombard Street

Katie got the chance to walk down the "Crookedest Street" in the world - Lombard Street. 

Our walk had a lot of steps!

It was such a pretty day!

We made it!

The Cable Car

On Katie's first morning in San Francisco, she got to ride a cable car.

We got to watch how they turned the cable cars around.

Time to go!

It was fun!

The First Morning

After a good night's sleep, Katie was able to see San Francisco in the daylight.

We had a good view from our room.

We got to enjoy the room when we woke up.

Kai is catching up to me in height!

Back to the Trip

I thought Katie might be a little nervous about going on her first trip without any of us, but all she had was excitement!

It's so much more fun to walk through the airport with a friend!

I got to sit with Kathy and Kai on the plane.

We had trouble getting a ride, so while Kathy and Brandon figured things out, I played with Kai.

We decided to take the train.

We were all happy to get to the hotel and see our amazing room!
