Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

The Christmas Parade

We decided to watch Disney's Christmas parade on our first day in Disneyland. We were lucky enough to claim a front row seat. Their parades are always fun!

I was excited for the parade to start!

This first float had a ballerina on it, and I loved it!

I loved the toy soldiers. The best part was the sound they made as they marched.

The elves were happy and dancing around!

Who wouldn't be happy to see Minnie and Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck?

When Aunt Jennifer saw these snowmen, she said she wanted one to take home.

The next thing coming up was making me smile big!

I sawa Anna, Olaf, and...

Elsa!

Clarabelle came walking by with the gingerbread men and bakers.

Goofy and Pluto were also busy cooking.

Oh my goodness! I couldn't believe what was coming.

The princesses were with their princes!

Tiana and Naveen were on the front of the float.

Cinderella and Prince Charming were happy!

Belle was dancing with the Beast.

Prince Eric was walking and dancing with Ariel!

Near the end of the parade, Woody made an appearance.

At the end, the dancing reindeer led in...

...Santa Claus! The parade was perfect!

A Morning in the Parks

After we dropped our luggage off at the hotel, we made our way to the parks. It was an enjoyable start as we made time to stop and enjoy the things around us instead of rushing from ride to ride.

After our plane landed, I excitedly waited for our ride to the hotel. We couldn't wait to drop off our bags!

The Christmas decorations throughout the parks were so pretty!

The whole scene made me happy!

When we first entered Disney California Adventure, we found this bear that we had never seen before by the Grizzly River Run. We decided to take a picture with him, but half of our picture was in the shade.

When we were on the way to the rides, we passed this toy soldier band.

They were amazing with their drums.

Then I got in line for one of my favorite rides...The Little Mermaid. This was the first of the three or four times I rode it during our trip!

Afterward, we got some lunch. My mom got me some pizza and apples. I only ate a bite of pizza, but I ate all of my apples!

As we were finishing our lunch, there was an announcement that a parade was going to start. We were lucky because our table was right next to where the gates opened to let the floats out.

Donald Duck was there with his friends!

I was excited when Mickey Mouse went by because it was his birthday! I told him, "Happy Birthday" and waved at him.

How lucky that we were there to celebrate with Mickey!

After the parade, I found another favorite...The King Triton Carousel.

Aunt Jennifer will always go on the carousels with me.

My mom gets dizzy on them.

Later in the afternoon, I had the chance to meet Daisy Duck. I asked her for her autograph.

She looked so pretty in her Christmas clothes!

Then I found Minnie Mouse. The Disneyland worker told me it was her birthday too, so I wished her a "Happy Birthday."

I love Minnie Mouse!

An Early Morning Flight

I had the week of Thanksgiving off of school, so my sister, Jennifer, and I decided to take Katie back to Disneyland for a few days before the holiday. Our flight was early in the morning, and early morning flights don't agree with Katie. They throw her off, and she often feels sick. She chose not to eat breakfast until we got to the airport, and then she got string cheese to eat. Luckily, Katie didn't get sick, but she did feel awfully tired.

I was excited to get to Disneyland, but I was having a hard time feeling awake.

A Thanksgiving Greeting

Katie was so happy to get a Thanksgiving card in the mail from my friends, Noreen and Joe!

This was my only Thanksgiving card that I got!

I read the whole thing by myself! Thank you, Grammy Noreen and Grandpa Joe!

Almost Time to Leave Town

Less than a week before we were scheduled to leave town, Katie got sick. She seemed perfectly fine one moment, and within ten minutes, she was sleeping with a high fever. Like always, she wanted me to closely monitor her temperature so she knew when she would be able to go back to school. This time, she also wanted to monitor her temperature, so she could make sure she could still go on vacation. Luckily, she was better in two and a half days.

The first night I was sick I ended up sleeping for twelve hours!

The Joy Continues

After trying it out for summer, Katie decided to keep up with two dance classes. She is taking a ballet class and a lyrical class. She continues to love everything about dance.

I work really hard to follow everything my teacher does.

Happy Thanksgiving, 2017!

We enjoyed Thanksgiving today. It's always one of my favorite days. We started our day early by preparing our turkey and stuffing in the morning. While my mom and I worked in the kitchen, Katie decided to make a huge Thanksgiving meal for her dolls in her kitchen. Later in the day, my parents and sister came to the house and we enjoyed dinner together. Then we just relaxed. It was such a nice day!

My dolls had a huge Thanksgiving meal first thing in the morning!

After I got dressed, it was time for our annual tradition..."Will Katie still fit in the stuffing pot?"

It's pretty fun to try this each year!

While I waited for everyone to get to the house for dinner, I did some drawing.

Dinner was finally done. Of course, I never eat any of it. I usually prefer fresh fruits and vegetables to anything cooked. I was thankful for my plate of food!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
