Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Going to Kai's House

Katie was invited to Kai's house to see his new playhouse. She always has fun when she sees Kai!

I really liked Kai's playhouse!

I played with my lion while Kai played with his truck.

We also had time to go inside to play with his toys. I love going there!

More Drawing

Katie has always enjoyed drawing. The things she enjoys drawing lately are mermaids and princesses.

This is my picture of Princess Ariel when she was a mermaid.

A Bubble Wand

Katie got a new bubble wand to use outside. She was excited because it was so big compared to her others!

I was pretty excited to use my new bubble wand.

It made lots of bubbles.

They were fun to chase!

Music Class

Garyldine took Katie to her music class, and Katie was having a lot of fun with her classmate!

In addition to playing with some instruments, we get to dance to some of our music too!

It's always fun!

The Tulip Festival

When I had my Spring Break, Jennifer and I decided to take Katie to the tulip festival. It's the perfect way to celebrate the season!

It's always fun when Aunt Jennifer gets to go somewhere with me!

We started off with the mixed-color tulips.

It seemed perfect for a picture!

I got to stand in the middle of the tulips.

One of my favorite things about these flowers is being able to look right down in the middle of them.

I tried to smell them, but they don't have very much of a smell.

We saw an old-fashioned steam tractor moving very slowly through the fields.

I liked the red tulips.

I think Aunt Jennifer did too.

Who wouldn't want to be in a field of flowers?

We stopped in front of the windmill before we headed to the play area.

Aunt Jennifer loves to get these pictures with me!

My mom decided to get a picture together while we waited for a lady to get off the swings, so I could have a turn.

I was excited to ride the horse swings!

A Make-Up Kit

After Katie got her vanity, she wanted some make-up to put on. I decided to get her a play set of make-up. According to the reviews, the make-up looked colored and sparkly in the box but went on pretty clear. I thought that was perfect, so I ordered it. As soon as Katie got her hands on it, I saw that the reviewer was wrong. It was not clear. Katie thought her new look was perfect!

I was so excited. I had cheek make-up,...

…eye make-up, and...

…lip make-up.

I loved my dark blue, glittery line above my eye.

This was my serious look in my beautiful make-up.

It's fun to be a girl!

A Trip to the Zoo

On my spring break, Jennifer and I took Katie to the zoo. She was going through a phase of wanting to dress up every day, and we couldn't convince her to wear more comfortable clothes. She was very proud of her dress. I'm sure she made a good impression on the animals!

Aunt Jennifer convinced me to go see the insects for the first time. I wasn't sure I liked them though.

I was excited when the leopard walked right in front of me!

The tiger was resting in the distance though.

It was Aunt Jennifer's first time to see the flamingos.

I always like to visit the crocodile.

I was most excited to see the giraffes again. They're my favorite!

I stood on my tiptoes to see the gazelles.

Then I watched the hippo eat for awhile.

After all of that, I had to sit down for a short rest, but...

…I got more energy when I found a cave. Maybe I should move in!

It was fun to see the cute baby lions again.

The male lion made an appearance too!

It was very exciting when the chameleon decided to walk in front of me.

There was only one elephant in their temporary housing spot. I wish I could have seen more.

My hands are almost as big as a polar bear's feet!

My black bear friend was curled up on the side of the hill, sleeping.

I "swam" through the river with the salmon!

Then I visited my squirrel friend.

Before we left, I got to ride on the back of a mountain goat! I had a fun day!

Jewelry Fun

Katie was showing off her new jewelry that Michele and Tim brought her on Easter. She wanted every princess to show.

Look at all of my beautiful rings!

Can you see them better like this?

I turned my necklace into a headband with Anna front and center!
