With the holiday came the fun filters!

Enjoying the Goodie Bag

After the zoo, we went to Jennifer's house. Katie decided to try some of the candy from her goodie bag, and the dogs were all excited about that.

The dogs really wanted some of my candy, but they just had to watch me eat it.

Back to the Zoo

We haven't been to the zoo for about two years, but we finally went back. Katie was so excited to get back there.

We were lucky to find three bald eagles there.

Since we were last there, the zoo opened a new polar bear enclosure.

There was a polar bear statue that we liked by the enclosure.

The elephants were hanging out by the water.

It was fun to watch them on this pretty day.

The lemurs were so cute!

There were so many African wild dogs huddled up together. They were so cute!

The male lion was hiding, but the female lions were busy.

I love all the statues at the zoo.

I was most excited to see the giraffes.

I had to wait a long time to get close because this was one of the more crowded sections. Eventually the people cleared a little.

I really do love giraffes!

I got to hang out most of the time with Aunt Jennifer! She's my favorite partner!

We waited here to wait for the otters to swim by us.

I got a goodie bag to celebrate Halloween. I was pretty happy about it.

A Surprise

What a surprise it was to be outside one night and see an owl sitting on our fence.

I was at dancing when my mom saw the owl, but I have been looking for it every day since.

Getting Home

When we got home, Katie found the perfect place for the pumpkins.

Now our house looks like fall!

The Pumpkin Patch

Katie wanted to go to the pumpkin patch this year, but I wasn't able to get tickets to our usual pumpkin patch at a time that would work for us. We looked for another pumpkin patch and found a small, local place where the people were so nice. 

My very favorite part of the pumpkin patch was visiting the three goats!

Of course I have to measure myself when I go to the pumpkin patch.

Aunt Jennifer and I like these picture spots.

I climbed up the stairs for a picture with my mom.

I'm so excited to be getting so close to Aunt Jennifer's height.

It was rainy, and the pumpkins were slippery and felt heavier than expected.

I was feeling pretty good about holding the pumpkin with Aunt Jennifer's help.

I went to try a pumpkin on my own.

It was still harder than I thought!

I was happy to find our third and final pumpkin.

Beautiful Fall

We love the beautiful fall colors, but we can never capture the beauty of the colors in a picture. We have a tree by the front of our house right now that has so many different colors. Katie loves to go under the tree and look up at the leaves.

I've tried to collect some of the leaves with beautiful colors, but they don't last very long.

Keeping Busy

Katie loves to have a whiteboard in her bedroom. She uses it for so many different reasons.

This is my favorite spot in my bedroom!

A Quick Game of Crazy 8s

Before going to bed, Katie asked if we could play a round of Crazy 8s, her favorite card game.

I convinced my mom to play two rounds. We each won a round!

Coloring with Aunt Jennifer

When we went to Jennifer's house the other day, Katie asked if they could color together. Jennifer's request of Katie was for her to draw a winter picture to hang on her refrigerator.

Since Aunt Jennifer has had the pumpkin I drew. on her refrigerator for a year, I drew her a deer to replace it.

A Reward

Who doesn't deserve a reward for getting a shot? After getting her flu shot, I took Katie to Office Max to pick out some art supplies.

I'm glad to be protected from the flu, but I really hate getting shots!

The Latest Art

Katie has been working on some new drawings to hang in her room.

I liked the alicorn I drew.

Staying Hydrated

Katie isn't a huge fan of drinking water, but it has helped her water intake to have a water bottle that she picked out on her own.

I try to drink a lot of my water in the bottle every day.

The Countdown

Katie got a Countdown to Halloween sheet at the library and has been excited to keep it up to date.

Halloween is not my favorite holiday, but I like it nonetheless.

Tapping

Katie's tap class recently changed times, and I was so happy that she was also moved to the studio that faces the parking lot. Now when I get there a few minutes early, I can watch her dancing and it's so much fun!

We are in the middle of learning a dance together. Tapping is lots of fun!

The Costume

I know Halloween still won't be the same this year, but Katie still wanted a Halloween costume to celebrate the day when it comes.

I found a costume I loved!

An Application

Katie was so thrilled to pick up an application to become a reading mentor at school. She wants to be a teacher and has always wanted to work with younger students.

I worked so hard on my application. I really hope I'm accepted for the position!

A Treat

Katie has never eaten a ton of ice cream because it will give her a stomachache, but she's recently discovered My Mochi ice cream treats and she loves them.

These are the perfect amount of ice cream for me.

Fun at School

Katie is so lucky to do a lot of learning at school through fun activities and games.

We were playing a game to figure out similarities and differences of our shoes.

Ugg

Katie came down with a cold this weekend. She got a COVID test just to make sure it wasn't that, but it was just a cold. After her first day back at school, she was so tired. She couldn't wait to come home and just lie down on the couch.

Nothing feels better than getting home and just relaxing.

An Early Bit of Christmas

We bought my sister the Disney Christmas tree at Costco this season to go with her other Disney holiday decor. Katie was so happy when she took it out of the box.

I love the tree and the music it plays!
