After School

What's better than being able to take your shoes off and have a picnic after a long day of school?

My friends and I always find each other after school to wait for our moms to finish their work! We talk about how our days went and have a lot of fun!

Time to Say Thanks

Katie was pretty excited to find some unicorn cards to say thank you to her friends for her birthday gifts.

I tried my best to make all of my thank you notes a little different from each other.

Play Time

The hardest part of Katie going back to school is that her creative play time decreases drastically. She still finds small moments to act out all of the stories in her head, but sometimes it's hard not to have as much play time as you want.

I just love my dolls!

Ballet Fun

Katie's ballet teacher was gone for the week, and Katie was so excited that her substitute was one of her former teachers.

It was so fun to see Mr. Russell again! 

We got to have fun all the way through class!

Taken In

Katie is so crazy about Descendants 3! She loves the movie, she loves the music, she loves the dolls, and now she loves the books.

I got a new book about my favorite movie character, and I can't stop reading it!

A Final Birthday Gift

My friend, Noreen, had sent Katie some birthday money in her card, and Katie couldn't wait to go shopping with it!

I found the doll I wanted so badly from Descendants 3.

Jumping Cat

Katie's new bed is a loft bed, and she loves to read up there. Mr. Limpet recently learned to jump to the top and give Katie all the company she wanted.

Nothing beats a cat and a book!

Playing with the Cats

One of the things that Katie misses when she's at school is being able to play with the cats. She tries to make up for it on weekends!

The cats tore the feather off the end of this wand, so I tied something else on it for them to play with. 

I usually end up with both cats, and they're always happy!

Fun Run

Katie had a Fun Run at school last week, where the students got to run around the fitness path. They got a bracelet for each lap they took, and whichever class got the most total laps earned an extra PE class.

I did six laps in our twenty minutes! It was fun!

Making Pizza

For Katie's sleepover, the girls made their own pizzas, and Katie loved it. She has been having fun making more since then to use our leftover supplies.

Thank goodness that Boboli makes these individual pizza crusts! 

I love to sprinkle cheese on top of the sauce, and I always love to eat a little cheese too! 

My favorite pizza is pepperoni.

Back to Ballet

Katie decided to stick with ballet this fall, and she is still considering adding tap to the mix.

We work a lot on correct ballet positions in this class.

Another Gap

Katie has had a loose tooth for awhile now, and a few days ago, the tooth finally came out. She was so happy!

After a lot of wiggling, my tooth came out!

Trying on Costumes

Katie has started thinking about Halloween, and she really wants to be Audrey from Descendants 3. She has been trying on some different versions to see which she likes best.

I liked this one, but I still wanted to look at some options.

A Sleepover

Katie really wanted to have a sleepover party to celebrate her ninth birthday. Since her birthday is at the very beginning of school and usually on Labor Day, she waited until last weekend to have her party. She had a blast!

After my first two friends arrived, we played games in the living room while we waited for our other friends.

My friends liked my new bed. I'm glad I had it! 

For dinner, we each got to make our own pizzas! They were yummy! 

By then it was getting dark, but we walked to the nearby school and played on their lit playground. 

 When we got back, we had cupcakes and ice cream. Yummy!

Then I opened my gifts! 

Once the gifts were opened, my friends helped me unpack them all. 

One of my friends had to leave early instead of spending the night, so I gave her a hug to thank her for everything! 

Then we took some time to paint. 

We had fun, but the paint didn't stick that well. 

In the morning, my mom found us all camped out in the living room. My bedroom was too quiet to go to sleep, so we fell to sleep to movies at 3:00. 

In the morning, we had a pancake breakfast! 

I was so fun to have breakfast with friends! 

We took a picture to remember the night. 

Then we had a funny picture! It was such a fun night! 

Enjoying a Reading Pillow

When Katie got her new bed, she got a reading pillow to go with it. Before it went onto her bed, she had to try it out.

I was pretty impressed with my big pillow!

Looking Back

Katie recently got a new bed. Because of it, we had to remove some of her old things. One thing she couldn't part with was the picture of herself that Garyldine put up on the wall. She was shocked at how much bigger she looks now. Sometimes when you see things day in and day out, you don't notice them until you take the time to focus on it again.

I looked so much younger!

More Birthday Celebration

After Katie figured out her camera, she asked if we could go to the lake, so she could take some pictures of nature. Garyldine met us there and brought Katie more presents!

Our summer of hiking really taught me to enjoy the beauty of nature even more than I did before! 

When Garyldine got to the lake, I got to open a lot of boxes! 

I got a ukulele from Garyldine, Jim, and Aunt Jody! I've always wanted one! 

They also gave me a Fingerling, and... 

...my very own make-up kit! 

Thank you so much! I love everything!

Figuring Out the Camera

After playing all morning, Katie took time to figure out her camera. Once she had the camera down, she had a new idea.

Once I knew how to take pictures, I wanted to head to the lake to take pictures of nature.

Happy 9th Birthday

Katie was so excited to turn 9! She couldn't wait to open her gifts, so she began early.

I started my day with my favorite breakfast - plain pancakes! 

As quick as I could, I started opening gifts! 

My first gift made me laugh...it was a Duke Kaboom from Toy Story 4 that Aunt Jennifer got me. She makes me laugh!

Aunt Jennifer also got me some casual princesses. 

I was so excited to open Aunt Debby's present. It was my very own camera! 

Grandma and Grandpa gave me a Shopkins mall and some Shopkins storage! 

My mom got me the roller skates I had been dreaming of all summer! 

After opening everything, I set up my Shopkins mall, and... 

...sent Duke Kaboom shopping!
