Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

A Visit to Pixie Hollow

Katie also wanted to visit Pixie Hollow while we were at Disneyland. We knew she could see Tinker Bell there, but we never know which fairy will be with her. Katie was thrilled to find out that she was meeting the water fairy because "she looks like me!" Both fairies were so kind to Katie and really took a lot of time talking with her.

I was so excited to meet Silver Mist, the water fairy!

We talked for awhile, and she told me how she waters Tinker Bell's flowers!

She was really nice!

When I first saw Tinker Bell, she noticed that our hair styles were the same.

While Tinker Bell was talking to me, Silver Mist played a trick on her, and we all laughed a lot!

The fairies talked to me about happy thoughts like flying!

We had a good time together.

Before I left, I got a fairy hug!

A Dance and a Tea Party

As we got close to the castle, we saw that not only was Mary Poppins performing, but Bert was there too. We were just in time for Katie to join the dancing with Mary Poppins and Bert. She loved dancing this year just as much as last year. She stood close to Bert this time and thought he was so funny!

Afterward, we made our way to the famous Mad Tea Party ride. Jennifer sat in the teacup with Katie since I tend to get dizzy just looking at them, and they both had a good time.

Mary Poppins and Bert taught us all how we were going to dance.

Mary Poppins showed us how to flap like a bird.

She was really good at it!

Bert danced close to me, and he was really funny!

This was the end of our dance together!

After the dance, I stopped to look at Snow White's grotto. I love it there!

The teacup ride was fun!

I'm glad Aunt Jennifer doesn't get dizzy on these rides!

A Warm Welcome

We made our way back to the Disneyland Park, and we had a warm welcome from Princess Ariel. Of course, we had to stop for a picture. Ariel was the first princess that Katie loved.

It was so good to see Ariel again!

We chatted for awhile about my Disneyland trip.

I want to be just like her!

Bye for now!

As we continued to walk in the park, I gave my mom a hint about where I wanted to go.

A Morning in Disney's California Adventure Park

After visiting with the Frozen characters, we stayed in the California Adventure Park for the whole morning. Katie was able to see a couple of characters. Then Katie and I headed to A Bug's Land while my mom and sister went to The Tower of Terror. When we met up again, Jennifer took Katie on some of the other rides that I hadn't gotten to with her. It was a fun morning!

I couldn't believe it when I saw Princess Sofia across the street from me!

I had never met her before!

She noticed that I still had my princess hair.

I loved meeting her!

All the characters are nice when you're here!

Then we saw someone else coming down the street.

I gave my friend, Sully, a hairy hug.

We took some good pictures, and...

…some silly ones!

Before I left, he wanted me to give him a high five, but he was a little tall.

He fixed that problem for me!

While Grandma and Aunt Jennifer went on The Tower of Terror, I went on Flik's Flyers with my mom and got to sit in the Chinese Take Out Food box!

Then we went on Heimlich's Chew Chew Train. That's always fun!

When Aunt Jennifer got back, she took me on Francis' Ladybug Boogie,…

…Tuck and Roll's Drive 'Em Buggies, and...

 …King Triton's Carousel!

Visiting Arendelle

On our second morning, we decided to visit Arendelle. Katie had made a list of things she wanted to do while we were at the park, and of course, she wanted to visit Elsa, Anna, and Olaf!

Seeing Anna and Elsa was just like seeing old friends!

I hope they know how much I love them!

This was the first time I ever met Olaf!

I was so excited!

Grandma was too! Olaf is her favorite!

An Evening in Disneyland

We spent the rest of our first evening in Disneyland away from the Star Wars section. Katie ran into some of her favorite characters, and we rode some of the rides including The Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion (which Katie refers to as the Mr. Bones ride), and of course, the Dumbo ride. Before we made it back to the hotel, we got to experience the fireworks, which were amazing.

I found Pluto just waiting for me in one of the hotels!

Then I was lucky enough to find Goofy!

After we went on the Dumbo ride, Aunt Jennifer and I posed in the stand alone Dumbo.

I love Dumbo!

The castle looked so pretty at night!

A Star Wars Experience

While we were in Disneyland, we decided to take part in some of the Star Wars mania. Katie wasn't very excited for the Star Wars activities. She always excitedly recognizes the Star Wars music, but she doesn't know the story at all, and she was a little bit worried at the thought of interacting with some of the characters.

We began by taking Katie on the Star Tours ride. As soon as it was over, we asked her if she liked it, and she announced, "That made me airsick!"

After that, we stood in the line to meet Chewbacca. Katie was very worried about meeting someone scary. We explained that he was a good guy, and I'm pretty sure she ended up liking him even though she wouldn't stand by him herself.

Finally, it was time to meet Darth Vader. Darth Vader thanked Katie for joining the "dark side." I'm not quite sure she knew what to do about him, but she did smile for the picture. When we left, she announced that she didn't want to do anymore Star Wars things. I guess the characters can't compare to the princesses.

Chewbacca was pretty nice, like a big puppy!

Darth Vader thought I wanted to be on the "dark side," but I'm going to stick to the "princess side!"

The Rest of our First Morning

After meeting the princesses, we went to the Royal Theater and watched the production of Frozen. They do such a good job there, and we had lots of laughter. Katie sat up front with the other kids and quickly made a new friend.

After the play we went on a few rides. Of course, Katie and Jennifer made it to the carousel!

By lunchtime, we were freezing and wet. I changed Katie out of her dress and replaced it with jeans and a sweatshirt. After lunch, it was time for Katie and my mom to warm up in the hotel room for a couple of hours. Even though it was wet, it was a good welcome to Disneyland!

Everyone else sat in the general seating for the play, while...

…I made new friends in the front!

I was so happy when Aunt Jennifer went on the carousel with me!

I love this ride!
