Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Out Shopping

The other night, my mom, Jennifer, and I took Katie shopping at the mall. Eventually we let her out of her stroller because she sometimes likes to hold our hand and walk with us instead of riding. We quickly discovered that Katie has become a lot more independent since the last time we took her shopping. She wanted no more of that hand-holding stuff! She wanted to walk on her own.  We followed her as she took us on a very interesting path through the store.

Our last stop was at Barnes & Noble. Jennifer took Katie to the kids' section to look around while I looked in the other part of the store. Katie discovered the story area, and she loved the fact that the furniture was just her size.
