Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

A Brand New Year

As you may recall, every year I have Katie make a New Year's resolution. Even though I'm not a big believer in making big promises on one day of the year, it's always fun to hear what she is going to say. This year she made two resolutions. "I think I'll eat one thousand hundred oranges in 2018 and eat them for every single meal. I'll also go to the park!"

Since I'm not a huge fan of resolutions, I like to begin a New Year by recognizing what I appreciate. I asked Katie what she appreciated this year. Here is her response. "I appreciated going to the zoo and going to the park with Kai on my birthday. I appreciated play dates with Kai. I appreciated the kitten, The Incredible Mr. Limpet. I appreciated Santa Claus. I appreciated Nigel giving me have a new Elf Pet. I appreciated Rudolph giving me his bell from when he was little. I appreciated my teachers and my family and my pets!"

Happy New Year!
