There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.
This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Jennifer's New Chair
My sister, Jennifer, recently got a new recliner. As soon as it was delivered, Katie decided she should sit in it most of the time.
As soon as I sat in Aunt Jennifer's chair, I loved it!
I rocked for a long time in it.
Then I just rested in it.
I was pretty sure Aunt Jennifer didn't want to sit in it!
