Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Off to the Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend, we had tried to take Katie to the pumpkin patch, but it was a bad idea considering that it was close to Halloween and it was a beautiful day. After waiting in traffic for a while, we finally got to the over-crowded pumpkin patch and decided to just keep driving.

Jennifer and I decided to take her on a weekday after work instead. Of course, the rain hit this week, so we had a very rainy, muddy, and soggy trip to the pumpkin patch, but Katie had just as must fun as always. Living in this area, you have to be ready to face the rain in any situation anyway!

I felt all alone on the hay pyramid when we first got to the pumpkin patch.

My mom decided to join me on the wet hay.

We were surrounded by mud everywhere, but we made the most of it!

When we visited the animals, the goats were hungry.

The baby goat was even waiting for food.

For the first time ever, I was brave enough to feed the goats. It made me smile.

The baby pigs also made me smile!

These teeth got the biggest laugh though.

After visiting the animals, we were happy to wash our hands.

I was so excited to get on the hay ride. I couldn't wait to choose pumpkins!

We surprisingly had a crowded ride to the pumpkin patch.

We were dropped off at this big field, and I wanted to walk all the way across it!

Who cares if it's raining?

I stopped everyone right here to exclaim, "Look at those beautiful flowers!"

This year, I was looking for small pumpkins, and we found three perfect ones for us!

The hayride back was pretty empty.

I could spread out while I enjoyed the beautiful pumpkin-picking weather.

I was excited to help Aunt Jennifer with the pumpkin washing.

I love to clean!

Unfortunately, I'm just at the right height to get lots of mud on my face while we clean pumpkins.

Then it was time to see how much I have grown...

After I measured myself, we found a dry tent for pictures.

Aunt Jennifer even crawled up on the big tractor with me.

Then I tried the wet tractor that was more my size.

We ended our fun on the very slippery path of the corn maze.
Our pumpkin patch trip was an adventure this year!
