Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Happy Halloween, 2016!

Katie was so excited this year to dress up as Princess Elena for Halloween. She loves the new Disney princess and couldn't wait to transform for an evening. We rushed home from school, and Katie got into her costume. Then Garyldine, Aunt Jody, and my mom took her out for the night.

First they stopped to see Jim. Then they went to Katie's friend, Ella's, house and they went trick-or-treating together. Finally, they stopped by a few houses in our neighborhood.

When Katie got home, she showed me all of her "loot." She ate a few pieces of candy, but her favorite treat of the night was the small container of Play-Doh she got from one house!

I was so happy to look like Princess Elena!

When we stopped to see Jim, he gave me lots of candy!

I was happy to see Ella and her brother, Lucas, again!

Why is the wait so long before someone comes to the door?

Trick-or-Treat!

Success!

Sometimes Lucas came with us to the door!

Ella and I had this trick-or-treating thing down!

On the way home, we stopped at one of Grandma's friend's houses!

We also went to my favorite house. Two friendly, standard poodles live there!

I had a lot of treats, but the Play-Doh was most exciting!
Happy Halloween!
