Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

4th of July Celebrations

Like I mentioned, we started our 4th of July celebrations with our neighborhood parade. Katie invited Kai to join her, and they rode their scooters through the parade. When we made it to the park, they ate a snack and played some games.

Katie decided in the evening that she would rather stay home and watch some fireworks on TV instead of going somewhere since we were taking care of the dogs. When they are at Jennifer's house, they are surrounded by firework noises which scare them all night. The sounds at our house are a lot quieter, so they spent the night with us.

Kai and I waited in the crowd for the parade to begin.

We were ready to go!

Off to the park!

One of our favorite treats on the hot day were the otter pops. After we cooled off, we had a hot dog and chips and took some popcorn home!

We decided to take part in the tug-o-war game. We didn't win, but we had fun!

After the fun in the park, we rode our scooters home.

At night, the dogs came to spend the night. They wondered why they weren't home.

I had fun giving them all attention though!
