Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

A Trip to the Zoo

On my spring break, Jennifer and I took Katie to the zoo. She was going through a phase of wanting to dress up every day, and we couldn't convince her to wear more comfortable clothes. She was very proud of her dress. I'm sure she made a good impression on the animals!

Aunt Jennifer convinced me to go see the insects for the first time. I wasn't sure I liked them though.

I was excited when the leopard walked right in front of me!

The tiger was resting in the distance though.

It was Aunt Jennifer's first time to see the flamingos.

I always like to visit the crocodile.

I was most excited to see the giraffes again. They're my favorite!

I stood on my tiptoes to see the gazelles.

Then I watched the hippo eat for awhile.

After all of that, I had to sit down for a short rest, but...

…I got more energy when I found a cave. Maybe I should move in!

It was fun to see the cute baby lions again.

The male lion made an appearance too!

It was very exciting when the chameleon decided to walk in front of me.

There was only one elephant in their temporary housing spot. I wish I could have seen more.

My hands are almost as big as a polar bear's feet!

My black bear friend was curled up on the side of the hill, sleeping.

I "swam" through the river with the salmon!

Then I visited my squirrel friend.

Before we left, I got to ride on the back of a mountain goat! I had a fun day!
