Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Happy Chinese New Year - Year of the Rooster

Last weekend, we celebrated a multi-cultural Chinese New Year. Kate decided how she wanted to spend the day. She knew right away that she wanted to wear her Chinese dress for the day. Then, she wanted to delve into the South Pacific culture (at least the animated one) by going to see Moana again, this time with my mom. After that, she wanted to eat at a favorite Mexican restaurant. Even when it's a special Chinese day, Katie has room in her heart for every culture.

I was trying again to not let my mom get a picture of me!

When I stopped, I decided to have an exaggerated smile for her!

Who doesn't love a good cheese quesadilla on Chinese New Year?
