Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

A Star Wars Experience

While we were in Disneyland, we decided to take part in some of the Star Wars mania. Katie wasn't very excited for the Star Wars activities. She always excitedly recognizes the Star Wars music, but she doesn't know the story at all, and she was a little bit worried at the thought of interacting with some of the characters.

We began by taking Katie on the Star Tours ride. As soon as it was over, we asked her if she liked it, and she announced, "That made me airsick!"

After that, we stood in the line to meet Chewbacca. Katie was very worried about meeting someone scary. We explained that he was a good guy, and I'm pretty sure she ended up liking him even though she wouldn't stand by him herself.

Finally, it was time to meet Darth Vader. Darth Vader thanked Katie for joining the "dark side." I'm not quite sure she knew what to do about him, but she did smile for the picture. When we left, she announced that she didn't want to do anymore Star Wars things. I guess the characters can't compare to the princesses.

Chewbacca was pretty nice, like a big puppy!

Darth Vader thought I wanted to be on the "dark side," but I'm going to stick to the "princess side!"
