Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Making a Gingerbread House

Each year, I make gingerbread houses with my students, and then I bring home some of the extra materials to make a gingerbread house with Katie. We love it!

When I saw that the gingerbread supplies were coming home, I grabbed some paper and started making a plan for my gingerbread house.

My mom had to get a haircut after school, so I had to wait a long time to start my house. I couldn't wait!

My mom accidentally brought home the green frosting, but luckily there was a can of white cupcake frosting in the bag too that we could use.

I built the walls first, and...

...then added the roof.

Finally it was time to start decorating.

I like to put a sled by my house made of mini candy canes and a graham cracker.

It was time for the finishing touches.

I loved it!

This was my front door, and...

...this was the back!
