Red Thread...

There is an ancient Chinese belief which states that there is an invisible red thread that connects each of us to all of the individuals who have been, currently are, and will in the future be important to us in our lives.

This red thread can stretch, twist, and bend… but will never break.

Christmas Eve, 2015

Katie had such a fun Christmas Eve this year! We started the day by doing some last minute shopping. Then we delivered Katie's hand-picked gifts for Garyldine, Aunt Jody, and Jim. Katie loves going over there.  When we got home, Katie enjoyed some dinner, and then I let her open a few gifts that evening.

At some point in the evening, I added a Santa Tracker app to my phone. Katie quickly figured out how to use it, and she checked on where Santa was about every 30-90 seconds. The excitement was fun to watch!

I was very happy to go to Garyldine's house and deliver presents!

I filled the gift bags with treasures from the dollar store! Garyldine loved the Snow White figure I found for her!

She also loved the magic wand she got.

I always think it's funny to give Aunt Jody snakes. I used to think she loved them. Now it's just funny to see her reaction to the snakes!

Garyldine got me a game called Jacks. I had never heard of it, but my mom is going to show me how to play.

I also got a unicorn puzzle, and...

…a special stuffed toy. It's tag mentions the red thread just like in my blog!

I was surprised to get this book with Garyldine's name. I read it with my mom as soon as we got home! I think Garyldine is like the mouse in the story. I know she thinks music is beautiful!

After opening gifts, Garyldine and I started soaking Aunt Jody's snake, so it would start to grow bigger!

When it was time to go, my mom asked me if I was ready for a nap, and this was the face I gave her to say, "No way!"

When I got home, I played with Garyldine's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs toys that she let me bring home!

After dinner, I got to open the gift from Grammy Noreen and Grandpa Joe. I loved the Rudolph bag!

Sometimes it's hard to open gifts with Bailey around!

It can be even harder when Sophie gets involved!

I found a very exciting book - starring Ariel and me! I loved it!

They also gave me stickers!

Then Bailey was ready to help me open the gifts from my friends…Patty, Jason, Nick, and Marie.

I couldn't believe it when I started to open the paper!

I loved it!

When I opened the second box, I took a small peek and got very excited!

She was the perfect match to Anna!

It was my dream come true.

I was enjoying my gifts when I found out that Garyldine, Jim, and Aunt Jody delivered one more gift.

I loved my cape!

It was perfect for twirling, and...

…it even had a hood!
Thank you for my gifts everybody!
